The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back) novel Chapter 64

When My Children Chose Sides

HANNAH’S POV:

Andrew turned toward him, and for the first time, there was a spark of anger in his eyes. “Why do you keep asking her to stop?” he snapped. “You act like everything’s fine, but it’s not!”

“Andrew,” I warned softly, but he wasn’t finished.

“You ruined everything,” he said, his voice shaking. “Mum never talks about her family. We never get to see anyone from your side or from hers. You made everyone hate her. Didn’t you?”

The air seemed to shatter around us. Elijah blinked, completely taken aback, and I saw the color drain from his face.

“Andrew, that’s not-”

“Don’t!” Amelia interrupted, her eyes glistening. “Don’t try to say it’s not true! You think just because you bought us a big house and gave us toys that everything’s fine? You hurt her. She stays up sometimes at night and just thinks and we have heard her have so many wishes on how things could have gone.”

The room went completely still.

Lucas’s lips parted slightly, his usual humor gone. Even Matteo set his fork down, frowning at the intensity of the moment.

Elijah swallowed hard, his voice barely steady. “Amelia… Andrew… I know I’ve made mistakes, but-”

Andrew pushed his chair back with a loud scrape, it was almost defeaning. “We don’t even want to be here!” he yelled. “We didn’t want to move! You just forced us because you wanted to play family now. But it’s too late!” 1

“Andrew, please,” I whispered, my heart breaking. “Don’t-”

“No, Mum!” he snapped, his voice cracking. “You always forgive people. But I don’t want to forgive him!”
