The Verdict on My Husband the Judge: GUILTY novel Chapter 75

The dim room was filled with cigarette smoke, the phone ringing incessantly.

It was those old geezers from the company calling.

After hanging up countless times, Griffin finally answered in exasperation.

I told you I’m not coming to the company! My wife is dead! I don’t give a shit if the company goes bankrupt!

But a clear voice came through from the other end.

Seraphina Whitmore has arrived at the company and called a shareholdersmeeting.

Suddenly, the phone crashed to the floor with a bang.

Griffin’s dejected expression transformed into the wild joy of getting something back that was lost.

He didn’t care about the shattered phone or the secretary’s unfinished sentence: Ms. Whitmore has requested suspension of all your work duties.

Griffin grabbed his jacket and rushed out.

Juniper, who was cooking, was delighted to see him finally willing to leave his room, then looked hurt.

Mr. Caldwell, I just cut my finger.

But Griffin stopped in his tracks without acknowledging her words, instead commanding in an authoritative tone.

Pack all your stuff and get out of my house immediately. Seraphina’s coming back soon, and she’ll be pissed if she sees you.

With that, ignoring Juniper’s suddenly pale face, he left eagerly.

[wenty minutes later, Griffin burst into the conference room, disheveled and breathing hard. Ignoring all the various looks around im, he stared straight at me.

Babeare you okay?

My gaze swept lightly over his face, showing a hint of disgust before putting on a distant smile.

Sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Caldwell. I’m perfectly fine.

Griffin’s eyes flashed as he took a step forward, about to say something else.

Marcus calmly blocked his path.

‘Mr. Caldwell, the meeting’s starting. Wouldn’t want to waste everyone’s time.

Only then did Griffin sit down in his seat in a daze.

Chapter 6

During the meeting. I demanded the board remove Griffin from all positions at Whitmore Industries.

Griffin’s gaze remained fixed on my face the entire time, not hearing a single word.

The meeting ended smoothly. Griffin approached me with slightly moist eyes.

Babe, are you mad at me? Why didn’t you come see me sooner?

He grabbed my hand and knelt on one knee before me.

Do you have any idea what this past month has been like for me? I dug up that entire forest and couldn’t find you. But as long as you’re okay, I don’t care how angry you areI’ll do anything.

Watching Griffin’s tearful display, I expressionlessly pulled my hand away.

Anything?

I looked at the woman outside the conference room’s glass wall, staring at me intently.

Then make a choice right now.

Marcus placed two prepared documents on the table.

Seeing the divorce papers, Griffin’s face went white as he instinctively shook his head.

No divorce. Babe, I won’t divorce you.

Divorce, or stand as a witness and send her to prison.I stated coldly.

Griffin’s face immediately went paler.

He turned his head slightly and saw Juniper’s eyes flickering with hope.

His lips trembled slightly.

Babe, you

I interrupted, looking at him mockingly.

Isn’t Mr. Caldwell best at making binary choices? Why have you become so indecisive?

I dropped my smile and returned to an expressionless state.

I’m giving you thirty seconds to decide. After that, I’ll file for forced divorce proceedings in court.
