The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 863

There were too many jerks like that in the world—men who shifted blame onto their partners to alleviate their own guilt. She worried she had misjudged Naylor's character.

But she also feared that she might be overthinking it. If she voiced her concerns and misled her friend, it could escalate their fight and lead to a real breakup. So, until she could talk to Naylor in person, she would reserve judgment and just advise Katrina to cool off and give him the cold shoulder.

After chatting for a while, Ivy saw that nearly half an hour had passed. She exited the messaging app and opened the hospital's patient portal. The nurse had said it might be slow, so she wasn't expecting anything yet. But as soon as she logged in, she saw a new notification.

Her heart began to pound. Forgetting all about her friend's relationship drama, she quickly tapped on the lab report.

"Yes!" she cried out, the sudden exclamation startling the few people nearby.

Pregnant! She was really pregnant! She was pregnant again!

Clutching her phone, Ivy was overwhelmed with joy. The baby she had lost had come back to her so soon!

After several minutes, Ivy finally managed to calm down. Wanting physical proof, she went to the self-service kiosk and printed out the lab report. Then she went back to see Dr. Beckett, who beamed when she saw the results. "You two work fast! This is a great sign that your body has recovered well. Congratulations!"

"I have you to thank for that, Dr. Beckett," Ivy said, smiling as she folded the report. "You saved me from so much pain and helped me get pregnant again so quickly."

"This is your good fortune. Not everyone achieves these results after the procedure," Dr. Beckett said humbly. Her smile faded slightly as she thought of Jamison. "How is Dr. Ludwig doing? I heard the surgery was a success. Is his recovery going well?"
