The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 959

"How is your recovery coming along?"

"I'm doing great. Look, I can even get out of bed and walk. Davina and the others bring me so much delicious food every day. I feel like I'm being pampered even more than during my postpartum recovery. I'm practically putting on weight." Talking about herself, Ivy perked up a bit, sitting straight so he could get a good look at her.

Jamison could see she was recovering well, and a satisfied look crossed his face. "That's good. That puts my mind at ease..."

"Don't worry about me. You just need to get better quickly. The two little guys miss you so much, they ask about you every single day."

Jamison chuckled weakly. "Let them miss me. Hiding in here is the only way I get any peace and quiet."

Ivy rolled her eyes playfully. "You're unbelievable! Are you telling me you're hiding out in here just to avoid parenting?"

"Yeah. Raising kids is the hardest labor on earth."

Ivy laughed at his dramatics. "And here I was thinking about having a daughter for you once you got better. Look at you, traumatized by parenting."

"No... Let's just stick to what we have. I don't want you taking any more risks..."

Even in a state like this, Jamison's first thought was Ivy's well-being. He refused to let her face even the slightest danger.

Ivy's nose stung, her heart melting with emotion yet again.

Knowing he was running entirely out of energy, Ivy stayed quiet for a moment before ending the conversation. "Alright, get some sleep. The more you sleep, the faster you'll heal..."

"Yeah. You head back too. Get plenty of rest, and don't push yourself," Jamison said, his eyes already slipping shut.

A moment later, he fell back into a deep, heavy sleep.

Ivy sat quietly by his side for a little longer, waiting until she was absolutely sure he was fast asleep before reluctantly standing up to leave.

Perhaps the power of love really was that extraordinary.

After that day, Jamison's condition began to visibly improve, and the severe rejection symptoms gradually subsided.

Ivy's body was also steadily recovering.

Technically, she was cleared for discharge, but wanting to stay close to her husband, she chose to remain at the hospital.

Both Danny and Adela supported her decision. Having doctors check on her daily in the hospital felt much safer than sending her home to rest.

As for her meals, people delivered food four or five times a day.

When Katrina came to visit and laid eyes on her best friend, she looked thoroughly surprised. "Are you recovering from surgery or doing a postpartum reset? How did you actually gain weight?"
