Chapter 448 Side Story: The Fragrance Artisans’ Association
Julia finally understood that if she didn’t beg for mercy right now, she was finished.
She did not want to go to prison.
Larissa smiled coldly. “Now you’re scared? Where was this thinking when you were hiring someone to kill me?”
“Gag them both. Take them away.”

Inside the detention center, Hazel and Julia weren’t quite ready to give up. They started trying to contact anyone who might come
rescue them.
What they didn’t know was that Larissa had already cut off every exit they might have had.
Nelson couldn’t help praising her.
‘Larissa, that was a beautiful play. Incredible. I hadn’t realized Hazel was this dangerous-she actually tried to have you killed.”
Larissa waved it off modestly.
‘You’re giving me too much credit, Nelson. They dug their own grave. They just finally fell into it.”
Her phone rang. It was her father.
‘Larissa, I heard about Hazel and Julia. Are you all right?”
Leonard’s voice was tight with worry.
Larissa reassured him. “Dad, I’m fine. It’s already handled.”
.eonard exhaled in relief. “Thank God. You know, you’re getting more capable by the day. I can relax a little more from here on out.”
After she hung up, Nelson teased her. “Larissa, you don’t sound like an 18-year-old. This level of capability is something else.”
.arissa smiled mischievously. “Of course. I’m the one who has to protect the Sowles.”
Nelson felt something complicated move through him. Larissa was the youngest in the family, but her abilities were by far the greatest.
His little sister had suffered alone out in the world for so many years, and now she was the one protecting them. It made his heart ache.
He wished he could give her every good thing.
Unfortunately, he’d only recently managed to get into the Fragrance Artisans’ Association, and then, because he’d offended someone, he’d just lost his job.
His eldest brother was a CEO. His second brother was a top doctor. His third brother was a champion racer. His fourth brother had become a famous singer. And now, he was the useless one of the bunch.
Larissa noticed the look on his face.

Chapter 448 Side Story: The Fragrance Artisans’ Association
“Nelson, what is it? Is something wrong?”
Nelson hesitated, then told her about losing his position at the Association.
Larissa listened, then reassured him.
“Nelson, don’t lose heart. Tell me the full story and I’ll get this straightened out for you.
“If the Fragrance Artisans’ Association has the nerve to treat you like this, I’m making sure they pay for it.”

She was the Fragrance Artisans’ Association. She’d founded it. And these people had the gall to come after her own brother.
There was always a few rotten apples in every bunch.
Nelson laid out the details from start to finish.
There was a senior perfumer at the Association who was jealous of Nelson’s natural talent. He’d deliberately set Nelson up to take the fall for something and appropriated Nelson’s newest formula as his own work.
