The entire hall watched in stunned silence as Connor slowly reached for the ties of his formal robe.

He untied the lace unhurriedly, letting the heavy fabric fall open and slide to the floor.

Then he shrugged off his coat. His fingers moved to the buttons of his shirt, undoing them one by one.

Gasps and murmurs spread through the crowd. Elder Johanson’s voice rang out sharply. “Connor! What is the meaning of this? You dare undress in a room full of people?”

Connor ignored the old man completely.

His eyes stayed locked on mine the entire time, dark and intense, as if the rest of the world had ceased to exist.

“This is absolute madness. There are respected alphas and elders here. This is not your bedroom!”

Elder Johanson roared and Connor finally looked at him.

“I am very well aware of it but I have to make a quick demonstration.”

Demonstration?

His words confused everybody including me but he simply turned his attention back to me and shrugged the shirt off his shoulders.

The shirt too slipped off his torso, revealing the powerful, muscular chest I knew so well. And combined with his deadly smile and confidence, he looked like a true–alpha already.

Reaching for my hands again he turned us so his back faced most of the room, keeping me in front of him. I felt the stares of everyone on us and I looked down, unable to meet their gazes.

I was nervous, cheeks burning, and my palms were sweaty.

“Hey” Connor lowered his face to bring it closer to mine.

He cupped my face again, tilting it up gently. “You have nothing to be ashamed of,” he murmured, voice soft but firm. “Not with me.”

I looked up at him, eyes shining with unshed tears as he smiled at me.

“What are you doing?” I asked in an unsteady voice.

I blinked in confusion but then he lowered his face and propped mine upward, tilting it to the side a little before his lips came crashing down on mine.

It wasn’t a gentle kiss.

It was deep, claiming, and devastatingly thorough. His mouth opened mine with a hunger that stole my breath, tongue sliding against mine in a slow, possessive stroke that made my knees weak.

But all of that disappeared when Connor’s hand tangled in my hair, tilting my head exactly how he wanted.

“Are you really going to look at him while I am kissing you in front of everyone?”

There was a flicker of unease in his voice, just the slightest bit of anger when his other hand pressed against my lowe slamming me flush against his bare chest.

I gasped and my hands began roaming all over his bare skin, recalling how good it felt on top of mine.

“No, I wasn’t…”

But his fingers dug into my skin. “Here I am risking it all for you and you looked at him instead”

I felt him start to pull away but then I grabbed him as much as my hands aloud, not letting him go.

This time I was the one who kissed him back fiercely and I saw his eyes light up instantly.

His hold on me tightened and we forgot all about the world around us as we fought for dominion. Connor, predictably because my body melted when his teeth grazed my lower lip.

I think I made some strangled sound that I tried hard to clamp down but the kiss was all heat and need.

Connor’s tongue explored every inch of my mouth like he was reminding me exactly who I belonged to.

I forgot the crowd, the humiliation, Aaron… I forgot everything except the taste of him, the way his body felt against min and the low growl vibrating in his chest as he kissed me like the world was ending.

“Such shameless behavior!” Elder Johansson clicked his tongue reproachfully then turned to Alpha Asher.

“Is this why you invited us to your place? To show how your pack’s future alpha and luna have no decency or shame?”

Alpha Asher curled his hands into fists.

“Connor! What the fuck are you trying to prove with such erratic behavior?”

I heard the angry voices and tried to pull back but Connor pulled me closer instead, bending me back and his mouth starting to trail kisses down my neck.

“Sienna!! At least you should have the decency to stop this” Sandra jumped in.

“Connor, maybe we should…” I spoke even as he straightened me again, pulling me for another long kiss before finally pulling back.

I looked around to see everybody staring at us in shock. I immediately tried to smoothen out my dress, and adjust my dress but Connor….he simply wiped his lower lip with his thumb.
