The Wrong Brother's Temptation novel Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Sienna

I stared back at the face that I had forgotten all about until right now.

How had I not realized it was him?

A second later, I noticed why. It was because the lanky, gangly boy had been transformed into something entirety different.

He was now a wall of solid muscle, sculpted jawline and had mastered the art of smirking like it was nobo business.

It still didn’t change the fact that childhood Connor had been nothing but mean and a bully to me.

I had lost count of the times he ended up making fun of me, pranking me whenever I was playing with Aar or simply because he was bored.

Connor fucking Dawson was back in town.

And he had kissed me.

What was worse was that I had kissed him back!

I wanted to burn that memory from my mind forever.

Aaron tensed beside me for just a second before letting his shoulders relax.

Didn’t know you were in town, halfbrotherAaron replied without so much as a greeting.

If there was one thing me and Aaron had in common, it was that we both despised Connor. But the way Aaron bit out the last two words told me, Aaron was still not over the past.

Connor kept peeling and eating his apple as if the jab had never been directed at him, popped another slice into his mouth and replied.

Nice to see you too, little broConnor spoke and that deep, throaty voice did something to my insides.

My brain was having a hard time figuring out how on earth did someone so viciuos transform into something so lethally attractive.

No wonder Sandra gasped on seeing him.

Connor then lifted his gaze at me as if he only noticed me right now and mumbled. Hey there, Speckles

I still remembered that day like it was yesterday.

I was probably four or five and playing hide and seek with Aaron in his backyard. Connor was ten and wanted to play the latest video game with Aaron so he told me to hide behind this large bush claiming that Aaron

would never find me.

That happened to be true because I sat like an idiot behind the bush for an hour before I went looking for aaron only to see that he had forgotten all about me and was playing with Connor.

I stomped my feet in front of Aaron and glared at him, my glasses askew but Connor threw me an irritated look.

Get away from the screen, you crybaby.

I ignored him and began dragging Aaron away from his seat, tugging at his arm. Come we will go to the pa to play.

But Connor got annoyed. Can’t even take a step outside without precious Aaron? Your freckles are too big fo your specs, Speckles?

Connor got delighted with the idiotic nickname and even Aaron began smiling at it as I ran away from the room to cry in my room.

Present me wasn’t gonna run and cry so I curled my fingers into fists and stormed towards him, jutting my chin up to face him.

Goddess, he had grown so tall and masculine, it was distracting.

Don’t call me that!I gritted my teeth.

He twirled the knife I had carried with me, tossing the core away as he looked down and whispered.

Or what? You will kiss me again?

My eyes widened at that question. How had I completely forgotten about it already?

Shut up!I whispered in a scandalized voice as I looked behind to see Aaron busy talking with Sandra, who was back to being coy and flirty with him.

Aaron shot one look at me and mumbled. Get home, Sienna. We will catch up later.

He said, throwing a disdainful look at Connor.

SureI said even as I saw him being led to the room by Sandra who closed the door behind her though I saw Aaron reaching for her neck to pull her closer.

I tore my gaze away from that door, forced my brain to not think of the way Sandra was easily getting what I had always yearned for.

Just then, Connor held his palm outstretched in front of me, the knife’s handle facing me.

It looks like you need this right now

I don’t know what you are talking aboutI snapped at him and took the knife from him, angrily tugging it back behind my jacket.

He snorted but said nothing and I asked a question just to keep him from saying more.

When did you return anyway?
