Her words tore through the awkward silence like a stone splashing in a pool of water.

I couldn’t believe she had just asked that. But then I stole a glance at Connor who was wiping his hands with tissues that the blonde held a box in front of him obediently.

Okay, I almost forgot I interrupted them without meaning to.

Connor turned around, and was about to say something but then he looked at me and he saw me wearing Aaron’s jacket.

His gaze hardened as he threw the tissues and began walking past me and Aaron without a word.

The girls began following him inside the room and I…I just stood there frozen for a second.

“Come on, let’s get you home” Aaron insisted but just then Josh appeared holding drinks in his hand.

“Woah, what happened here?”

His eyes landed on me and he immediately approached me.

“Sienna, are you okay? Goddess, you look so pale. Here, have some…” He began but then the glasses fell out of his hand as Connor had grabbed him by the throat, dragging him away from me.

“So this was your plan all along? Spiking her drink, then hiring cheap goons to harass her so you can act as her savior?”

Josh blinked and had opened his mouth to answer but the words died down as Connor began beating the shit

out of him.

“It was you, right? I saw you spiking her drink so dont you dare try to deny it!”

Josh threw his hands up to shield his face while answering him.

“I didn’t do anything. I just came here to meet her for the first time, dude”

“Wrong answer!” Connor growled and landed another punch that narrowly missed Josh’s nose because he ducked at the last minute.

“It was Aaron’s idea!” Josh shouted, unable to stop himself and Connor’s fist that was about to deliver yet another punch froze mid air.

Connor shot him a look of utter disbelief. “No way!”

Aaron, upon hearing his name rushed forward to clear the confusion.

“Connor, stop hitting everyone. Josh is my friend. He turned briefly to check on Josh for his injuries and

snapped his fingers to ask one of the staff members to tend to him.

“He meant I was the one who thought of bringing Sia here, which I agree, seems like a mistake now. She was sulking in her room so I wanted her to get out of the four walls and meet new people which in hindsight, might not have been my greatest idea.”

“Man you told me that I would be meeting a cute girl and then you would come to save…” Josh began but Aaron hastily added.

“Yes, I acknowledged it was a terrible idea…”

Connor’s eyes narrowed and he walked back straight to Josh, looking down at him.

“Why don’t you complete your earlier line?”

Aaron opened his mouth to mutter something again but Connor’s hand shot up, silencing him.

“Shut up”

Aaron did and then Connor glared at Josh. “you were saying?”

Josh looked from Connor to Aaron who was shaking his head slightly and then back to Connor.

“I…well, Aaron said he wanted to mend his relationship with his best friend and she was currently a damsel in distress so he came up with an idea that some idiots would try to harass her and then he would show up to tell them off…”

Aaron jumped in again. “I didn’t even say that seriously, Josh.”

Connor grabbed Aaron by the collar and brought him to his eye level, almost pulling Aaron off the floor.

“If you wont stop talking, my fist will make you. Do you understand?”

The menacing way in which Connor said that made Aaron blanch and he nodded, his head bobbing up and down.

Connor let go of Aaron who crumpled down on the floor and immediately got up to show he was fine and cool.

“So you are saying…Aaron hired these goons to hurt Sienna and show up as her savior?”

Josh nodded. “I mean that was the general idea. But then you showed up out of nowhere and beat the living shit out of them all.”

I stared in a mix of disbelief and anger at Aaron, still not able to believe my ears weren’t ringing.

Connor seemed to mirror my disbelief and blinked in confusion, simply staring at Aaron who was fumbling for words.

“Its not that deep, okay. She was being all sad and crying because you were ignoring her and I wanted to make her feel special.”
