THE HAPPIEST MOMENT IN HER LIFE

Deftly, Xaden changed Jaxon’s clothes and pants, while the boy curled his body against his father, it was still rather cold, though the winter was not yet here.

“You are really a great father,” Fenja said, watching how Xaden took care of their son.

“I am not a great father, Fenja. I only do the bare minimum of what I should have done.” For Xaden, spending time with his little family was something that he had never thought to do.

He had been avoiding to even think about this and now, he simply made up for the time when he was being stupid and put them in this difficult situation.

“For me, you are.” Fenja leaned over and kissed Xaden’s cheek. She saw the surprise look on his usually emotionless eyes and she was more than happy that he slowly let the distance between them faded away. However, their little son had other thought, he made that face, the same expression when he saw the fish and stretched out his arms towards his mother.

Out of instinct, Fenja took Jaxon from Xaden’s arms. The little one then pulled her face down and kissed Fenja‘ s cheek, which made her laugh.

“He is very jealous.” Xaden nudged Jaxon’s cheek.

With that, they spent the rest of the evening there, until the sun tilted to the horizon and the sky had turned slightly darker, they returned to the alpha’s building.

Thankfully, there was nothing happened, there was not a breach of territory like what happened before.

Later at night, Jaxon slept with Fenja and Xaden, the little one took so much space in the middle.

“He has a bad sleeping habit,” Xaden groaned in the morning because he got kicked by his son a few times throughout the night. On his face, on his stomach, on his chest…

“He is fine…” Fenja blinked her eyes innocently because she was sleeping peacefully, somehow, Jaxon only‘ attacked‘ his father.

Xaden frowned when he heard that.

The next day, they went to a few restaurant and places that they had visited when Fenja just arrived in the pack. Jaxon also tried the delicacies of the pack, he liked some, but he spat some.

The day went away just like that, as Fenja was filled with happiness. She had never been this happy before. Even so, she still couldn’t shift into her own beast….
