But, like all the things in this life, everything would come to its limit and when it happened, it was the end of it. After five happy days that they spent together as a happy little family, forgetting that there was a storm that would come, finally it came to end too.

Fenja had to leave for the Black Moon pack tomorrow morning and she didn’t know when she would be able to see Xaden again.

If everything went well, she would be together with her mate in a week, but… it it didn’t… Fenja didn’t even want to think about it.

“Where is Jaxon?” Fenja asked, because in the past few days, their son would sleep with them, despite Xaden’s complain every morning that he had been kicked and punched by their one year old throughout the night. Yet, when sleeping time came, Xaden would be the one, who brought him to their bed, so they could sleep together.

“I want to sleep with you alone tonight.” Xaden leaned over and kissed Fenja’s forehead, she could smell the minty scent from him.

And then Fenja watched as Xaden went to the bathroom to clean himself. She bit her lip and her hands were shaking lightly when she got off the bed and slowly approached the bathroom.

From behind the slightly ajar door, Fenja could hear the sound of running water, it didn’t go unnoticed by Fenja that Xaden had left the door was slightly opened.

Should she proceed? Would it be alright? But, Xaden said he wanted to be with her alone tonight, that’s why he didn’t bring Jaxon…

Probably, what he meant was only sleeping together, innocently like they used to in the past few months when they lied next to each other without doing anything, busied with their own thoughts.

Fenja then remembered the fact that Xaden could read her mind. He could do it even when he was out of the pack house, let alone when they were only a few steps away.

Therefore, Xaden must have been reading her struggle.
