Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 639

On the outskirts of New York, inside the bleak walls of the Metropolitan Women's Correctional Facility.

The midday lunch hour in the cafeteria was unusually chaotic.

Instead of the standard, tasteless slop, the trays were loaded with fresh meat dishes and sweet fruit. The inmates were thrilled, whispering excitedly among themselves.

"What's with the premium food today?"

"I know, right? Real meat, and an apple! Is it a holiday?"

The chatter died down as the head warden stepped up to the microphone. "Listen up. Today, Merit Group's CEO, Silas Thorne, and his wife welcomed a baby girl. To celebrate the occasion, Mr. Thorne has funded a premium meal service for the entire facility. Enjoy."

Cheers erupted across the cafeteria.

But sitting in a dim corner, Vivienne Sinclair went entirely rigid. The blood froze in her veins, and her face turned the color of chalk.

Silas Thorne and Willow Horgan... had a baby?

They actually had a child.

Surrounded by cheering women, Vivienne felt like she was submerged in an ice bath. Her hands trembled violently as a toxic, corrosive wave of jealousy and hatred clawed at her throat.

She had spent her entire life scheming, lying, and clawing her way to the top. And what did she have to show for it? She had destroyed her family, bankrupted the Sinclair Group, and landed herself in a concrete cage with a ruined reputation.

And Willow?

That pathetic, boring nobody she had bullied for years was now sitting on top of the world, married to a billionaire, a celebrated scientist, and a mother.

It was unacceptable.
