Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 132

“Hannah, I have never once bothered you,” Bonnie shot back, her frustration clear. “It’s always the two of you coming after me, never letting it go. If you can’t deal with it, tell Lawrence to knock it off. Or just move abroad again. Honestly, it would make life easier for everyone.”

Bonnie tried to pull her arm free, but out of nowhere, Jasper threw himself at her. Crying and desperate, he started pounding on her with his tiny fists.

“Don’t hurt my mom! You’re a bad person! A bad woman!” he choked out, his voice trembling but his words sharp.

Hannah shut her eyes as tears kept falling down her face. Around her, more and more people stopped to stare or mutter to each other, their whispering never letting up.

At this point, pride didn’t matter. She’d left her self-respect behind the day she made her choice. All she wanted in this world was Lawrence. And she wasn’t going to let anyone take him away—especially not Bonnie.

She locked her gaze on Bonnie, her mind flashing back to days in America. She remembered burning every gift Bonnie had ever given Lawrence, saw again the fury in his bloodshot eyes.

He’d burned his hands reaching into the flames, desperate to save those things. She’d cradled their child—and, in a fit of rage, threatened to throw the baby in too. Only then did Lawrence stop fighting her.

He ended up on his knees, smashing his hands against the fireplace until the skin split and bled.

Watching Bonnie’s photos go up in smoke, Hannah had felt an odd thrill deep down, a secret rush that almost made her dizzy.

But now, threats that used to work didn’t matter anymore.

After they moved back from America, something changed in Lawrence every time he saw Bonnie. He shut Hannah out, stopped coming home, refused to just accept their life. He ignored her, ignored their child, and even tried to force her into therapy.

The hate she felt for them ached in her bones. They would risk her falling apart, even risk her life, just to drag her to a doctor.

It was all just about cutting loose—getting rid of her and Jasper, so Lawrence could run back to Bonnie.
