Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 159

Aiken frowned as he took the phone, his eyes scanning the group chat. Someone was asking for help placing delivery orders, promising ten dollars for each job.

Right away, Aiken could tell this was organized. These kinds of requests usually meant there was a team behind it. He quickly copied the contact details, then handed the phone back to Ralph.

Before leaving, Ralph tried to reassure Bonnie. “You really don’t have to worry. It’s just some prank. They won’t keep it up for long. Plus, I announced in the group that the police are already involved. No one’ll want to risk taking those gigs now.”

Bonnie nodded her thanks, but once Ralph left, her appetite disappeared. Even so, Aiken coaxed her to a little dumpling shop nearby. They bought dumplings to take home.

Aiken needed to head back and keep working on the case. He told Bonnie to be patient. The police needed time, and things might still happen, but for now, whoever was behind this only seemed interested in scaring her.

Bonnie understood. After Aiken left, she picked at a few dumplings, but then just gave up. She ended up on the carpet, knees hugged to her chest as she stared into nothing.

Her phone was on silent, but the screen kept lighting up now and then. All night, random food deliveries just kept coming. Bonnie turned every one of them away. She told the delivery guys to do whatever they wanted with the food—eat it, toss it, she didn’t care.

She checked her messages. New spam kept popping up, rolling in nonstop.

Bonnie had heard about the nightmare of being doxxed before, but living through it felt completely different. The fear just hovered over her, heavy and sharp, like a knife always dangling above her head. It cut straight through her sense of safety, forcing Bonnie to face all the ugliness people were capable of. The old scars of being cyberbullied stung again.

She didn’t sleep at all.

But it wasn’t just one rough night. The next day, and the one after that, the harassment kept coming.

Her inbox flooded with emails written in rough English. Strangers hurled insults, told her to stay away from someone’s husband, ordered her to leave Cabinda.
