Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 256

After a few runs, Bonnie switched to a different trail. Along the way, she spotted the quiet man a handful of times, crashing into the snow in various awkward ways before dragging himself back up.

He didn't seem to be in the best shape. Once, at the lift entrance, she noticed his hands trembling uncontrollably as he walked with a noticeable limp.

And since he wasn't wearing any protective gear, he was probably bruising himself black and blue.

Maybe he came out here alone to blow off some steam, regardless of his skill level.

Bonnie didn't dwell on it. She skied to her heart's content, catching the shuttle back just before the resort closed. After dinner and a hot shower to soothe her tired muscles, she crashed hard and slept soundly.

The next morning, she slung her board over her shoulder and headed back to the slopes, fully energized. The scenery was simply unparalleled. Every time she carved her way down the mountain, her soul felt like screaming in pure euphoria.

The towering peaks, the flying powder, the stunning sunsets—it all made the trip worth it.

It made life itself feel worthwhile.

Bonnie skied for seven solid days, leveling up her skills. She even mastered the low-stance carving technique she used to struggle with.

Frankly, she couldn't get enough of it.

But her itinerary was set. She still needed to visit Silvania before heading back to Thule to catch her flight to Cabinda.

Bonnie packed her bags, checked out of her room, and stood by the road waiting for Victor to pick her up.

Her fellow traveler emerged from across the street, backpack slung over his shoulder, still fully geared up. He paused on the other side of the road before finally crossing over. Gathering his courage, he spoke up. "You're a really good skier."

Bonnie pulled down her scarf, flashing a warm smile. "Thanks."

"I saw you at Silver Ridge the other day," she added, offering a genuine compliment in return. "You used to be really good, right? You're definitely more experienced than I am. You're a pro."
