Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 325

"Bonnie, where are you going?"

Bonnie didn't even blink. "Graduation dinner. You have the night off. Go home and get some sleep."

Perry didn't look nearly as relieved as she expected. "Is Yvonne going? I haven't seen her around for days. Mack got back from Waverly yesterday, but Yvonne still hasn't shown up."

Bonnie didn't have the energy to coddle the boy's painfully obvious crush. "Why don't you ask her yourself? I have no idea."

Perry snapped his mouth shut. A second later, he blurted out, absolutely miserable, "She blocked me."

That finally got Bonnie's attention. She looked up, took one look at Perry's devastated, puppy-dog expression, and burst out laughing. "What on earth did you do to piss her off?"

Knowing Bonnie was Yvonne's closest friend, Perry realized she was his only hope. He spilled everything.

On graduation day, Perry had tagged along to the train station to help Yvonne pick up her parents. But out of nowhere, another guy showed up. Naturally, her parents started asking questions.

Yvonne had played it off, smiling and keeping things vague, but she didn't outright shut down Perry's obvious flirting, either.

Perry had been ecstatic, pulling out all the stops to impress them. He even waited around after the ceremony to help escort her parents back to their hotel.

But right outside the hotel lobby, they ran into him. A sophisticated, impeccably dressed man in his early thirties. Not a single hair out of place, wearing a crisp dress shirt and tailored trousers that looked like they defied the concept of wrinkles.

And the way the man smiled at Yvonne—the longing was practically radiating off of him.

Perry's instincts had screamed at him instantly. His sixth sense went into overdrive.

Threat.

Bonnie winced, feeling a flash of sympathy for the kid. "Maybe they're just friends. Don't overthink it. But even so, that’s no reason to block you."
