Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 430

Leo Sutton had his own ideas during The First Birthday Selection.

His left hand grabbed a solid gold abacus that jingled loudly with the sound of pure wealth. His right hand clutched a string of antique copper coins, refusing to let go.

Helen stared at her son, who was currently surrounded by adoring relatives showering him with praises and kisses. She rubbed her chin and nudged Bonnie. "I blow money like it's water, and Ned is totally clueless about finances. You don't think little Leo is going to grow up obsessed with money, do you?"

Bonnie thought about it for a second. She didn't think her godson would be obsessed, but he'd definitely be much sharper with finances than his parents.

Helen nodded in agreement. "Who knows, maybe he'll grow up to be a Wall Street shark! Like the ones in those romance novels. I'd love that."

Bonnie laughed. "Sounds great. If our boy pulls that off, I'll be his first investor!"

"Look at our CEO go!" Helen cheered, pulling her into a hug. Then, remembering something, she asked, "Hey, seriously though, are you and Lawrence planning to have kids anytime soon? I can tell you both love them, and I doubt you're planning to stay child-free forever. If you want one, do it while you're young. Once you get older, you just won't have the energy."

Helen could acutely feel that she didn't have the boundless energy she possessed in college or right after graduation. She used to go out partying with Ned all the time, but now, just taking the baby to the park felt exhausting.

Bonnie fell silent. She hadn't really thought about it.

She looked over at Lawrence, who was crouching on the floor, patiently dangling a toy to make Leo laugh. The baby wobbled back and forth, the gold abacus in his hand clattering loudly.

Her eyes traced the sharp lines of Lawrence's profile.

He wore a gentle, incredibly patient smile. His eyes were soft and full of an unmistakable fatherly warmth.

Lawrence had never once mentioned wanting a child. In reality, all four of their parents were incredibly anxious for a grandchild. They held the traditional belief that a marriage wasn't complete without a baby.

Especially since Bonnie and Lawrence were both wildly successful, financially secure, and had grandparents eager to help babysit. Their setup was far better than most young couples.

As for raising a child, the parents knew that both Bonnie and Lawrence would make fiercely dedicated, phenomenal parents.
