Three Years Later, He Came Back Begging novel Chapter 524

When Hannah remained silent, Odette repeated the question. Hannah's gaze flickered, her mind racing to figure out exactly what Lawrence planned to tell their parents.

Was he going to finally address the elephant in the room?

Truthfully, Hannah wasn't afraid.

She had mentally prepared herself for this possibility every time she tried to drive Bonnie away from Lawrence. Since she desperately wanted to strip away the label of being his adopted sibling, there was no way to keep the truth from the family forever.

But right now, Lawrence and Bonnie's relationship was rock solid. No matter what she did, there was absolutely no sign of them breaking up.

Because of that, Hannah saw no need to expose her feelings just yet and put herself in an awkward position. After all, Odette and Carl would never accept such a twisted dynamic between the two of them.

They would likely try to nip it in the bud before anything could even blossom.

The thought of the recent offer from The American Ballet Academy made Hannah's chest tighten. The family wanted her to go to the US to further her career, but the idea left a bitter taste in her mouth.

Going to Europe years ago was what had caused the distance between her and Lawrence in the first place, leaving an opening for someone else to slip into his life. If she left for the US now, by the time she returned, Lawrence and Bonnie would probably be married with kids.

Hannah had no intention of going.

She refused to let Carl and Odette weigh the pros and cons and forcefully ship her off.

While she wasn't necessarily terrified of her true feelings coming to light, she knew the timing was terrible. She hadn't found the right opportunity, and there were no visible cracks in Lawrence and Bonnie's relationship yet.

She came from a perfectly average background, yet she carried herself more like a spoiled heiress than Hannah ever did.

And the worst part was that everyone absolutely adored Bonnie.

Lawrence was hopelessly in love with her. During family dinners, Odette would tease him about it being love at first sight, and Lawrence would just openly admit it. Whenever he talked about Bonnie, he couldn't stop smiling, his eyes lighting up with a boyish charm Hannah had never seen in him before.

Maybe he had been passionate about things when he was younger, but this was entirely different. It was a unique, all-consuming devotion bordering on reverence.

Carl and Odette loved her too. They couldn't be more satisfied, practically counting the days until Bonnie officially joined the family.

Even a strict, quiet man like Carl constantly praised her. And Odette treated Bonnie with more warmth and affection than her own daughter.
