Kieran was casually drying Lila's hair, completely unaware that her thoughts had wandered far off track.
Realizing her mind had drifted, she lightly slapped her forehead.
Amelia had really influenced her.
A headache began to form as she recalled the blunt messages from earlier in the afternoon.
The messages had made it clear that she needed to take advantage of this opportunity to win Kieran over, figure out if he was worth it, and then decide whether he was someone she wanted to keep around.
There were also some more direct comments—about abs and other unmentionable things.
It was absolutely maddening.
Just when Lila thought her mind was finally clearing, Kieran's comment about 'serving' her again shattered her peace.
She stopped his actions. "I'll just use the blow dryer to finish it."
After speaking, she quickly got up.
Such intimate physical contact had to be avoided!
She headed toward the bathroom, but Kieran followed her, grabbing the blow dryer before she could.
His height was perfect as he stood behind her, gently drying her hair. It felt just right.
Lila glanced up and saw Kieran in the mirror, his eyes half-closed, focused, and serious. The black strands of her hair in his hands seemed like a rare treasure, and his movements were slow and gentle.
Lila's brows relaxed as she smiled, realizing that even though his own hair was still damp, he was tending to hers.
"Tomorrow, you can sleep in a bit longer. There's plenty of time."
His gentle words made Lila smile softly. "You should get more sleep too."
But over the next few days, they went out during the day to eat and sightsee, and at night, they returned to their separate rooms.
This had Amelia in a panic.
"Lila, what's going on? Are you two okay? Can't you switch to another place to book a single room in the hotel? This is the time to strike while the iron is hot. I don't believe it's impossible!"
Lila rubbed her forehead. "We'll switch places tomorrow, go to the beach, and book a hotel there. I'll try my best, don't rush me. Good things come to those who wait."
Amelia clicked her tongue. "This isn't about patience; it's about a man's prime!"
Lila touched her chin, wondering if she should stop answering Amelia's calls for the next few days.
She was genuinely worried about being brainwashed into doing something impulsive with Kieran. She might just act on a whim and regret it.
That scene...
