Too Late Mr. White! I'm Married To Your Rival Now novel Chapter 338

Aria's POV

I watched Aiden standing in the entryway, changing his shoes. His glasses sat perfectly on his strong, straight nose—something I rarely saw outside our home.

"Why are you wearing glasses today?" I asked, taking his coat from his hands.

"Had a video conference," he replied, his arm snaking around my waist without warning.

Remembering Lucy was in the house, I felt suddenly self-conscious and pressed my hands against his chest, trying to create some distance between us. My attempt backfired spectacularly—instead of releasing me, he pulled me closer until my body was practically flush against his.

Aiden lowered his head, his warm breath fanning across my face. My cheeks instantly heated as I stared at him up close. With those glasses on, he had this whole intellectual-but-dangerous vibe going on that was doing strange things to my insides.

God, just looking at him was making my thoughts wander to dangerous territory.

I swallowed hard, feeling my face grow not just warm but properly red now.

Aiden noticed my blush, his dark eyes flickering with interest before he leaned down to press a kiss against my forehead. "How did the meeting with your assistant go?" he asked, finally releasing me.

"It was good, except there's one question..." I trailed off, suddenly too embarrassed to continue.

"What question?" His eyebrow arched with curiosity.

Just then, Lucy emerged from the dining room, smiling at both of us. "Sir, ma'am, dinner is ready."

Seizing the opportunity for distraction, I quickly said, "Can I tell you after dinner?"

Aiden studied me for a moment. "Alright."

"Let's eat first!" I practically fled to the dining room, still clutching his suit jacket against my chest.

It wasn't until I reached the table that I realized I was still holding his coat. Aiden followed behind me at a leisurely pace, the corner of his mouth lifting when he saw me standing there awkwardly with his jacket.

"I'll take that," he said, extending his hand.

Feeling foolish, I handed it back to him.

Lucy set out the food and retreated to the kitchen, leaving just the two of us in the dining room. I kept my head down, sipping my soup, terrified Aiden would bring up my unfinished question. We'd only just started being intimate a few days ago—talking about having children now seemed way too fast. What if he thought I was trying to trap him?

Lost in my worries, I accidentally took a huge gulp of hot soup and started coughing violently.

"What happened?" Aiden's voice was laced with concern.

I looked up with watery eyes. "Went down the wrong way."

I refocused on his face, noticing the hint of moisture at the corner of his eye. Something about his expression made me bite my lip before leaning forward to initiate a kiss of my own.

Aiden froze for just a second before taking control again. The quiet living room filled with the soft sounds of our kissing as one of his hands kept me steady while the other slipped under my shirt, tracing the smooth curve of my waist before moving higher to cup my breast.

The warmth of his palm against my skin made me tremble, my strength evaporating. When he picked me up, I came to my senses just enough to hide my face against his shoulder, too embarrassed to look up as he carried me upstairs.

He seemed unusually impatient tonight—we didn't even make it to the bedroom. Instead, he sat down on the sofa in the sitting area, pulling me onto his lap before resuming his assault on my senses.

His kisses traveled from my lips to my cheeks, down my neck, across my collarbone... The sensation was like someone dragging a feather all over my body, creating an unbearable ticklish heat that had me squirming.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling overwhelmed. "Aiden," I whispered, my voice barely recognizable.

"I've got you," he murmured, his voice rough as his hand instinctively reached to the side, finding nothing. He paused, seemingly remembering we weren't in a place with easy access to protection.

Once again, I found myself lifted and carried, only to be gently deposited onto cool sheets moments later. The contrast of the cool bed against my heated skin made me simultaneously more alert and more desperate.

I lay there, trying to focus my gaze forward. When my vision finally cleared, I saw Aiden standing at the edge of the bed, a small silver packet between his teeth. The lamplight slanted across his bare upper body, highlighting the sharp angles of his face while reflecting off his silver glasses frames.

The sight of him—intelligent, powerful, half-undressed—was almost too much to bear.

Oh god, I thought hazily, I might just jump him myself.
