But it wasn't long before Callum Young stomped back over, visibly furious. "There are several ammo crates we can't open! Felicia Foster gave us fake keys.
Damn it! Once we're back in Mavaria, I'm going to make her pay!"
That treacherous woman really deserved the worst. How dare she sabotage them on something so critical?
On the battlefield, every second was a matter of life and death.
"Just smash them! Can't you just break the locks?"
Master Ellis shot him an exasperated glare.
"You're going to let a locked box stop you? And you come running to ask me?
You muscle-heads really are something else. You have zero flexibility, just blindly following the rules."
Lieutenant Young was speechless. Was his team really that incompetent in this old man's eyes?
"Master Ellis, there are highly sensitive explosives in there. We can't just smash those crates with heavy force."
Master Ellis then glanced at Mira. "Give him some of the acid."
Then, he looked back at Callum. "Honestly, you can't even handle a tiny problem like this? Letting a woman like Felicia run you in circles!"
Callum wanted to scream. He had absolutely nothing to do with Felicia; he was just catching strays for no reason.
Mira handed him a small vial of liquid. "Squeeze this slowly over the padlock loop, and it'll melt right through."
Master Ellis wasn't fully satisfied, adding a sharp warning, "Remember, do not let this touch your bare hands. The second it makes contact with your skin, it will melt you straight to the bone.
That's industrial-grade corrosive, far more lethal than anything you've ever seen!"
"Understood, Master."
Callum took the vial and hurried off. Mira had given him a bottle with a precision tip, making it easy to use without splashing his hands.
Master Ellis turned back to Mira and Owen. "Make sure you clearly explain how to handle these dangerous compounds to them. They don't know the first thing about chemistry."
It made sense. Everyone had their specialty, and the two Lieutenants certainly weren't pharmacists.
Once the chemical agents were prepped, Master Ellis called over a few of the strongest soldiers, and they began pumping the heavy mist into the basement.
At the same time, York and his men returned, fully restocked.
