While Ethan was still stunned, the six men lunged at Mira.
But they never expected that before they could even touch her, Master Ellis knocked them all to the ground with a wave of his hand. Blood trickled from the corners of their mouths.
“You... you... who are you?”
The leader of the six asked haltingly, his face pale.
They couldn't believe a master of this caliber existed in Melvion City.
“Who told you to attack?”
Ethan snapped back to reality and shouted at them.
“It... it was... Mr. Mercer.”
“Are you here to start a fight, Ethan?”
“No, no, don’t misunderstand. I just wanted to discuss something with my little sister.”
“Hahaha... discuss? You bring six masters with you to ‘discuss’?”
“That was my father’s idea.”
“Your father’s idea?
If he told you to kill someone, would you do it?”
“Owen, break one of their arms. Each.”
“Sir, please don’t! I was wrong...”
Ethan quickly tried to intervene, but agonized cries already filled the air.
By now, how could he not understand? He had been set up by his own father.
“Mira, stop them! They were just... just following orders.”
“Those who try to kill must be prepared to be killed.
Ethan, my dear Ethan, I’m not foolish enough to plead for my enemies.”
“Considering this is your first offense, and because of your history with Mira, I’ll let you off with a light warning.
If there is a next time, there will be no mercy.
Scram.”
Mainly, he didn't want to blow the situation out of proportion.
With that, the three of them walked inside with identical expressions and matching strides.
“Mira!”
Ethan shouted.
Mira turned back, her face cold. “From the moment I left the Mercer family, I have had nothing to do with any of you.
