The second the concert ended, while the rest of the crowd filed toward the exits, Lawrence rushed over to Leonard Lance's VIP suite.
"Grandfather, let me help you out of here."
"Did you know your brother was back in the city?" Leonard demanded.
"I just found out myself. You know how swamped I've been lately, Grandfather.
But I've already sent people to locate his hotel. I'll personally bring him home tomorrow."
"Focus on your own work tomorrow. I'll go pick him up myself.
And if your brother agrees to return, you need to get along with him. No more of this petty feuding.
Brothers need to stand united to keep this family strong."
"Understood, Grandfather. You have nothing to worry about. I'd be thrilled to have my brother back to share the workload."
Early the next morning, unable to sleep, Leonard Lance gathered his men and headed straight to the Imperial Hotel.
It was still early, and most of the guests were asleep. The front desk called Owen's suite, informing him that someone was waiting in the private lounge.
When Mira heard the news, she decided to tag along to watch the drama unfold. She was deeply curious about her friend's complicated family dynamics.
The old man sitting in the lounge had a full head of white hair, but his features were sharp and commanding. His piercing gaze looked as though it could see through anyone's soul.
Dressed in a meticulously tailored dark suit, he exuded a heavy, authoritative aura.
He sat casually on the sofa with a silver-tipped cane resting in his hands, projecting the absolute dominance of a man accustomed to absolute power.
"Grandfather. It's been a while."
Regardless of their bad blood, the old man had raised him, and Owen maintained a baseline of respect.
"So you still remember I'm your grandfather? You've been back in the city for days and didn't even bother to visit?"
Leonard scoffed, his sharp eyes darting over them.
"As long as I know you're alive and kicking, that's enough for me.
