They both trusted Mira unconditionally now.
Mira looked at Celine. "Management isn't a bad choice. You'll be taking over your family's company eventually anyway. Even though I'm not majoring in it, I've been learning the ropes from Owen and the others."
Not everyone had the bandwidth to master multiple disciplines simultaneously.
"I want to be in the same program as Mira, but my family is dead set on a criminal justice degree," Liora sighed. Her entire family was in law enforcement or public service; they had deep roots in that sector.
"Criminal justice is a solid path," Mira encouraged. "If Celine and I ever run into trouble, we'll know who to call. Or you could go into corporate law. Once you pass the bar, you could open your own firm, and we'd throw all our legal work your way. Or you could just join my legal team directly. You'd never have to worry about finding a job."
"She's right," Celine agreed. "Whether it's law enforcement or a law degree, your future will be set."
But Celine had caught onto a specific detail. "Wait, Mira, you have a legal team?"
"Solflare Entertainment has one. By the time you graduate, I'll have my own private counsel."
"Ugh, you scared me. I thought you had lawyers on retainer already."
"Can't I brag a little? Regardless of what path we choose, we have to grind out these final exams. Good grades give you options."
Until Shane Porter was dealt with, it wasn't the right time to reveal the full scope of her assets.
"That's for sure. I heard Mara has been locked in her room studying all the time lately. We can't let her beat us," Liora said.
"Mara? Isn't she interning at the Mercer Group?"
