Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 431

"Haha, Boss, do you think I'm some sort of omnipotent god?"

"With your skills, Lenny, you might as well be."

"You flatter me. I was thinking, should we hack into Shane Porter's phone again and send another fake order?"

"That's not a bad idea."

"Boss, your hacking trick was insane. Can you teach me?"

Mira Mercer considered it for a moment. Lenny Forbes and his crew were her people, and upgrading their skills would only make them more effective in the future.

"I can, but I have two conditions. First, this technology can only be used on bad guys. Second, you must have a solid foundation in computers and a razor-sharp mind. This isn't something just anyone can learn."

Still, Mira figured that with Lenny's intellect and tech background, he could easily master it.

"Don't worry, Boss. Once I learn it, whether I use it or not will be entirely up to you."

"You don't have to listen to me blindly. You just need to have a bottom line."

"I promise you, my bottom line is rock solid."

"Alright, I'll teach you when I have time. Probably after my high school graduation."

"No rush. Take your time and focus on your studies first."

Meanwhile, at the Mercer family estate.

Mara Mercer received Shane Porter's directive and couldn't believe her eyes.

"What? Steal more documents? Ethan just caught me last time! He guards against me like I'm a thief now. It's practically impossible to get into the company."

Adrian had no desire to go. He knew full well that neither the Mercers nor the Porters stood a chance of winning this round; showing up was just a formality. The Mavaria Procurement Board was definitely going to select someone else. If he and his son both attended only to lose, they would become the laughingstock of Melvion City.

But Lacey's heart ached for her daughter. "If Mara wants to go, just take her. It won't hurt to let her watch."

Reluctantly, Adrian picked up his phone and called his eldest son. "Ethan, take your sister to the bidding tomorrow."

Ethan was furious the second he heard it. "Are you out of your mind? Absolutely not."

She had single-handedly ruined their last bid, and now his father wanted to indulge her again?

Without another word, Ethan hung up.

Lacey stared in shock, unable to believe her ears. How could her usually refined, well-mannered son speak to his father like that? Fearing the conflict between the two men would escalate, she quickly intervened. "Adrian, maybe you should just go yourself tomorrow."

Lacey knew Ethan was still holding a grudge against Mara for the last fiasco.
