Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 728

Eleanor Quinn glared at her and scolded her harshly.

When the child had been right in front of her, she hadn't known how to cherish her, and their relationship was entirely severed. Now she wanted to win her back? The world didn't work that way.

Lacey immediately snapped her mouth shut.

"Mom, please stop scolding her. Lacey just loves her daughter deeply.

And Mira is being entirely unreasonable. There's no such thing as an unforgivable grudge between a mother and daughter, yet she refuses to acknowledge her own birth mother."

Aunt Gwen offered her 'kind' mediation.

Lacey lowered her head, looking incredibly pitiful.

"It's easy for you to stand there and talk.

Gwen, just focus on managing your own daughter. Keep your nose out of other people's business."

Eleanor shot a fierce glare at her daughter-in-law.

"Why isn't my cousin sitting with our family?"

Miles Quinn asked.

He was Seraphina's older brother, having recently returned from abroad.

"She's sitting with her fiancé. Is there a problem with that?"

Eleanor fired back.

Just as everyone was watching the ceremony, a server slowly pushed a juice cart through the aisles.

As she passed right by Mira, someone suddenly shoved her hard, sending the cart violently crashing toward Mira.

"Watch out."

Owen instantly yanked Mira out of the way.

The juice cart collided heavily with the table, splashing juice all over the guests sitting on both sides.

"Watch where you're pushing that cart!"

"Are you an intern? How dare they let you serve at such a high-end banquet!"

"Get the manager over here immediately!"

The guests whose outfits were soaked in juice shouted furiously.

These elites were incredibly particular about their appearances, and their gowns and suits were exorbitantly expensive and highly tailored.

Even if they changed clothes now, the replacements wouldn't match the standard.

Wasn't this a massive humiliation?

"I am so sorry! I am so sorry, everyone. This was a total failure in our service..."

Grant Ashford, the hotel manager, rushed over instantly and bowed deeply to apologize to the crowd.

"Words are cheap. Can you afford to replace our ruined dresses?"

They were telling the absolute truth. The dresses those guests wore cost hundreds of thousands of dollars each; they weren't exactly easy to replace.

Lady Lilian and Luna hurried over, apologizing profusely to each guest one by one and handing over highly expensive gifts before the guests finally relented.
