Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 866

"As long as I'm not the lead, I wouldn't mind doing it for fun,"

Mira replied, considering his offer.

Life couldn't just be about endless studying and corporate maneuvering. A person needed entertainment and hobbies, and she already had a solid background in the arts.

"When are you going to let us cast you as the lead?"

Wesley pleaded, giving her the best puppy-dog eyes he could muster.

With her sheer level of fame, if she starred in one of their projects, the Micro-Series would go viral overnight without spending a dime on marketing. The club's popularity would skyrocket.

"We'll see. You know I've been out for almost a month; I have a lot of coursework and business to catch up on."

It wasn't that she didn't want to help, but her schedule was suffocating.

Leaving the art club, Mira stopped by the finance society. Quentin Reed looked at her with eager anticipation. "When are we going to organize another Live-Trading Challenge?"

He clearly wanted her to fund another high-stakes competition.

"I don't have the time right now. Ask me again after finals,"

Mira said with a light laugh.

"Why do all three of you keep saying the exact same thing?

Wesley Langdon said it, Harvey Rivers said it, and now you, Boss Mercer?"

"Haha, did they really?

Finals are right around the corner, and we all fell behind by nearly a month. It can't be helped.

Quentin, the global financial crisis is already unfolding. Instead of trading, why don't you have everyone observe the market volatility and analyze the shifts together?"

"That works. A group study session isn't a bad idea.

They've just been clamoring for another live tournament so much that they almost derailed me."

Mira lingered at the club for a few more minutes before heading back.

The next few days were a blur of productivity. Owen was entirely consumed by the Lance family affairs, constantly outmaneuvering his rivals. Mira split her time between cramming for finals and reviewing stacks of corporate documents.

Gavin Hale kept blowing up her phone, begging her to record a duet with him. He insisted that her vocal tone was the only one that matched his, claiming that any other female artist would ruin his new track.

Meanwhile, Master Ellis was aggressively tracking the Ghost-Needle assassination attempt.

When New Year's Day arrived, Liora Bennett and Celine Ward arranged to meet Mira at a luxury hotel just a few blocks from her home.

If it had just been the two of them, they could have easily stayed at Mira's place. But since both girls had brought their respective bodyguards, her house simply didn't have enough room.
