Sienna's shameless comment completely ruined Celine's appetite.
Inviting her cousin today was unequivocally the worst decision Celine had ever made.
"Mira, I am so sorry. It's my fault for bringing her along and killing the mood."
"It's fine, Celine. It takes all kinds of people to make a world," Mira reassured her.
Celine and her circle were just too sheltered, which was why someone as wild as Sienna felt like such an alien concept to them.
But Mira knew the truth about Aethelgard's elite. Luna Lance swapped boyfriends faster than her designer outfits, and even her dormmate, Vanessa Voss, had a rotating roster of guys.
Looking back, it was no wonder Leah Monroe treated Mira like some sort of puritanical monk.
Turning to Sienna with an easy smile, Mira said, "I'll take you all to the Solflare Grand Hotel for lunch today.
Since it's the holidays, a lot of the servers are university students picking up extra shifts. And yes, most of them are quite good-looking. However..."
"You are absolutely not allowed to hit on them."
"Why not?"
Celine shot her cousin another lethal glare. "What kind of boss brings her friends to sexually harass her own employees?
If word gets out, Mira's reputation will be ruined!"
She looked ready to strangle her cousin right there at the table.
Unfazed by the threat, Sienna ignored Celine entirely and looked to Mira for an answer.
"Our hotel has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any inappropriate conduct. Violations result in immediate termination,"
Mira explained calmly. "I know you wouldn't cross any major lines, but even innocent flirting could be misinterpreted by management. You'd end up getting the poor guy fired.
You have to promise to behave yourself. Even if you have to fake it, you need to act like a lady. Otherwise, the invitation is revoked."
"Fine, I can do 'lady-like'. You think you're the only one who knows how to put on an act?"
She shot a pointed look at Celine.
"You—!"
Celine's hands curled into fists, desperately fighting the urge to lunge across the table. Only the presence of the other diners kept her grounded.
Liora leaned in and whispered in Mira's ear, "Sienna is literally the only person on earth capable of making the elegant and composed Celine Ward want to throw a punch."
