Too Late To Love Me I Already Left With His Twins (Lydia and Dave) novel Chapter 331

Lydia

I looked ahead. “She’s good.”

“Just good?”

“She’s fine, Anna. School is going well, she’s been spending time with her new best friend, and she’s been telling me about what happens in class.”

“That’s nice. How is she adjusting to everything?”

I knew what she meant.

To Dave being back in our lives in the way he was now. To the engagement, the wedding plans, and the changes that had come with our family finding its way into a new version of normal.

I shrugged. “She’s doing well. Nothing much to report.”

Anna gave me a look, but she didn’t press the matter.

“Okay. Just make sure you keep checking in with her. You know how children can be. Sometimes they’ll tell you everything, and sometimes they’ll decide that one little thing is a state secret.”

I smiled faintly. “I know.”

At least, I thought I did.

We reached the entrance, where a woman in a neatly tailored cream suit was waiting to welcome us. She smiled as soon as she recognised Anna.

“Good morning! You must be Anna. We’ve been expecting you.”

“Good morning!” Anna replied warmly. “And yes, that’s me. This is Lydia, the bride.”

The woman turned to me with a welcoming smile.

“It’s lovely to meet you, Lydia. I’m Teni, the creative director here. Thank you both for coming.”

“It’s lovely to meet you too,” I said, shaking her hand.

Teni led us into a bright reception area decorated with neutral furnishings, fresh flowers, and framed photographs of previous events. A few large floral arrangements stood near the windows, and there were several design portfolios displayed on a table beside the seating area.

The space was tasteful without being overwhelming. I immediately found myself looking at the arrangements, wondering which parts were their own work and which had been designed specifically for the showroom.

Anna, naturally, had already started making friends.

“I love the flowers here,” she said, leaning towards one of the arrangements. “Are these part of your regular display?”

Teni smiled. “Yes, although we change them periodically to reflect different styles and seasons. We like clients to get a sense of the different directions we can take with their events.”

“Oh, that’s lovely. Lydia is leaning towards a garden-inspired wedding, so I’m already paying attention to everything.”

“Anna,” I murmured.

“What?”

“We’ve barely sat down.”

“And? My eyes are working perfectly well while standing.”

Teni laughed. “I can see you’re in good hands, Lydia.”
