Chapter 113 Surrender to the Smoldering Temptation
His legs were useless, but his hands were fine. Washing himself was no problem.
Margaret turned to leave.
But just then, she felt a tug on her black dress.
Finished
The hand holding her dress pulled hard. The floor was slippery with water. Her balance slipped away instantly, and she tumbled backward into the pool.
She fell into the water with a splash, like a mermaid diving in.
Then she heard Andrew-the culprit-speak in an infuriatingly domineering tone. “Maggie, once you’re here, you’re not leaving.”
She fell silent.
With her skills, she could have steadied herself even if she’d lost her balance. She didn’t have to fall into the pool.
But just now, she’d chosen not to.
So she’d let herself tumble in.
That indescribable feeling grew stronger, harder to suppress. Margaret climbed out of the water.
Splash…
Steam-wreathed droplets dripped from her dress. The wet fabric clung to her body, outlining her slender, alluring curves.
Her hair hung damp over her shoulders. Her delicate, perfect face looked even smaller and more noble- mysterious and breathtaking.
Her aura was icy-like that of a chaste goddess no one dared to touch. Yet soaked to the bone, she radiated an irresistible, smoldering allure.
In the pool, Andrew’s deep eyes turned pitch-black. The obsession and passion in them were impossible to hide.
His gaze blazed like greedy fire, raking over her body hungrily.
If looks could eat a person alive, Margaret would’ve been nothing but bones by now.
A blazing fire roared in his eyes and expression.
“Maggie, you’re stunning.”
His lazy, husky voice-deep and magnetic-was like smooth, mellow wine, utterly intoxicating to the ear.
For the first time, a crack appeared in Margaret’s cold facade.

Damn it!
A single sentence from him, and she wavered.
When she was the Reaper, she’d been like a cold machine-no emotions, no feelings.
Romance and desire had meant nothing to her.
But now, she could clearly feel how badly she wanted him.
If she gave in, even for the first time, she knew she’d be insatiable, never getting enough.
This man seemed strong and unbreakable on the surface.
But Margaret knew the truth. He was sick-his body was way weaker than it seemed!

She took a deep breath, steadying herself. She forced her way back into the role of the emotionless Reaper.
She refused coldly. “Andrew, stop fooling around. Wash yourself like a good boy.”
Andrew’s eyes darkened. Maggie dared to refuse me?
Unprecedented anger surged in his chest, twisting his handsome face into a terrifying scowl.
His eyes slowly bled scarlet, thin blood vessels webbing across the whites of his eyes. Frightening and unnatural!
His voice was harsh and gravelly, filled with obsession and dominance. “I don’t care!”
She’s been the one to offer to bathe me.
How dare she back out now?
Margaret’s back was to Andrew. She couldn’t see his eerie, scarlet eyes.
She tugged at her dress, only to find his hand clamped tightly onto it.
She frowned slightly. Her voice turned cold and ruthless, laced with unseen danger. “Andrew, let go. You’re playing with fire.”
That desire in her heart was almost impossible to hold back.
And this fool had no idea how reckless he was being.
“Maggie, you’re the one playing with fire!”
Her cold, indifferent tone gave him a headache, stirring up irritation.
Andrew had always been cold, chaste, and distant from women. This was the first time he’d lost control like this.
She should have hated his dominance and arrogance. But for some reason, she couldn’t.
Damn it!

Finished
Once, she’d been a cold-blooded and ruthless assassin. She could kill without blinking an eye, feeling no
remorse.
But now, seeing him in such agony, for the first time ever, she felt a twinge of compassion.
There she stood in the pool, still radiating that icy, dominant vibe.
But when she spoke again, her cold, firm tone had softened, almost imperceptibly. “Andrew, I’ll stay with you.”
“Smart girl, Maggie.” He hummed in satisfaction.
Taking advantage of my kindness and acting like he won!
But watching him struggle to contain his pain, her heart softened again.
Fine! Margaret sighed silently to herself.
Suddenly, she stepped forward, standing right in front of Andrew.
Maybe it was the steam, or something else. Her usually icy cheeks were flushed pink.
Andrew looked at her, .confused. “Maggie, what are you going to do?”
