Top Assassin with Superpowers Reborn novel Chapter 153

How's her riding so damn good?

If she entered a world competition, she'd totally take first place!

Hell, she's better than me...

His own little sister was actually a better biker than him—it made Raymond frustrated.

He'd originally planned to show off for her and make her look up to him.

It was hard to believe that he was the one who'd ended up low-key admiring her riding skills.

The way she took that turn—so badass!

Total confidence, no hesitation!

But whatever. He was born with mad athletic skills—swimming, basketball, soccer, you name it, he excelled at it.

Soon enough, he'd show her how tough he was and make her worship the ground he walked on!

Even better—turn her into a total brother fan!

"Haha! I wish Maggie would call me 'big bro' someday! Ah, that'd be sick!"

When Raymond suddenly pictured that, he got so hyped up he couldn't contain himself.

He was still on cloud nine when his phone suddenly rang.

Raymond picked it up, glanced at the screen, and the smile froze right on his face.

Fear—pure, innate fear—filled his eyes.

Raymond, who was always arrogant and wild in front of everyone else, answered the call like he was walking on eggshells.

"Ahem... Edward, did you need something?"

He held the phone like it was red-hot, his hand shaking a little.

A deep, authoritative voice came from the other end—chilling, menacing. "Why? Am I not allowed to call you?"

Raymond's heart jumped into his throat. He rushed to say, "No! That's not what I meant! Of course you can—totally!"

Man, if his crew saw their fearsome, tough-as-nails school king cowering like this, they'd lose their minds.

Edward's dark voice came again. "Heard you messed with a minister at school today?"

His tone was calm, but it felt like a storm was brewing—heavy, oppressive.

Raymond knew he couldn't hide this from Edward, so he came clean. "Yeah. I messed with a minister—think his name's Ted?"

Edward only knew Raymond had crossed Ted but he had no clue why.

Am I just not important enough?

Meanwhile, Margaret rode her heavy motorcycle, tearing through the busy streets of Capaville toward the ghetto.

Half an hour later, Margaret showed up in Capaville's famous ghetto. It was only separated from the city's fancy downtown by a river, but they felt like two different planets.

Capaville's downtown was lit up like a Christmas tree, pure paradise.

The ghetto, though, was dim and packed with people.

Margaret parked her bike on the street.

She was head-to-toe in black, wearing a baseball cap, with her tight jeans showing off her long, killer legs.

As soon as she showed up, her badass motorcycle stuck out like a sore thumb against the run-down surroundings.

Right away, several tall, scruffy-looking guys—all able-bodied adults—swarmed her.

They held out their hands like it was their right. "Kind lady, spare some cash? I haven't eaten in three days!"

"Yeah, miss, please! I'm gonna starve to death over here..."

The guys boxed Margaret in, like they weren't gonna let her leave unless she gave them money.
