Chapter 63 Hunter and Intruder

“Stay down!” the one-eyed man roared.

He’d underestimated the enemy. The sniper must have top-tier gear-able to lock onto targets in total darkness.

A cold chill ran down his spine, a fear he’d never felt before creeping over him. This was worse than he’d thought.

The enemy had fired several shots, but he still couldn’t pin down their position-not even a rough direction. That meant the sniper’s stealth skills were off the charts.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Three more shots. His remaining men were instantly blown away.

“Shit! They moved positions!” the one-eyed man yelled, horrified. How could someone reposition in just a few seconds?

Now he was the only one left in the warehouse. The kids in the small dark room had no idea what was happening outside. They huddled together, too scared to make a sound.

In the silence, the only sound was his own ragged breathing.

Anxiety and terror closed in around him. The sniper rifle in his hands felt colder than ever.

This gotta be Karemin’s top sniper-nobody else is this good.

Then he saw a faint glint in the distance.

A surge of joy rushed through him-they’d revealed themselves!

And there, stepping slowly toward him through the night, was a girl. The one-eyed man froze in shock.

That legendary marksman is an 18-year-old girl?

Impossible!

“You dare show yourself? You’re dead!” He laughed maniacally. The girl is way too cocky-strolling right into my line of sight.

“Is that so?” The girl smiled, her expression unreadable.

“I’ll kill you!”

“What the fuck? I can’t move!”

His eye bulged. A wave of cold terror washed over him. It was like the girl was controlling him!

The last thing he saw was the girl in the baseball cap pointing a silver reyolver at his head.

A single shot. Instant death.

Margaret turned on the lights. The warehouse was covered in blood-like a scene from hell, cold and brutal.

She stood there, taking a deep breath of the metallic air. A sickly look of satisfaction spread across her pretty face.

Blood smell’s kinda addictive.

Margaret had a severe mental quirk.

She needed to smell fresh blood regularly, or she’d lose control-go berserk. But strangely, ever since she’d smelled that man’s blood last time, her episode had been suppressed for weeks.

Thinking about how good that man’s blood had smelled, a look of greed and longing flashed in her strange –

eyes.

She missed it-his blood was like opium, impossible to get enough of.

Just then, the sound of car engines echoed outside the warehouse.

Margaret tensed, quickly hiding behind a stack of crates.

Outside, a convoy of cars pulled up. First, a group of armed men in black jumped out-their eyes sharp and fierce, clearly badass fighters.

In the middle of the convoy was a black stretch limo.

The door opened slowly.

The car had been modified. A man in a wheelchair glided down a metal ramp attached to the vehicle.

A man beside him-Walter-quickly draped a black coat over his shoulders.

The wind was cold, turning his face pale, but his expression stayed icy-like nothing in the world could

ruffle him.

Walter glanced at him, concerned. “Andrew, you could’ve sent your men here. You’re sick. Why put yourself through this?”

Andrew ignored him. He turned to a middle-aged man nearby, his voice cold. “You sure it’s here?”

Darryl nodded. “Mr. Mohler, the traffickers are hiding inside.”

“Good.” Andrew nodded, signaling Walter to push his wheelchair toward the warehouse.

The warehouse door was wide open.

The armed men walked ahead, on high alert to protect their boss from any danger.

But when they stepped inside, their vigilant expressions turned to utter shock.

Bodies lay scattered everywhere-each one with a bullet hole in the head. One corpse was even mangled, its arms and legs blown off.

The scene was bloody.

Walter stared, stunned. “Holy shit-they’re all dead?”

He turned to Andrew. “Andrew, someone beat us to the kill.”

Andrew’s eyes turned dark and cold. His face looked even paler than before-with barely contained rage.

“Find out who did this.” His voice was sharp. “When you find them, tear them to pieces.”

Walter frowned, confused. “Isn’t this a good thing? Why are you so mad?”

Andrew’s voice dripped with killing intent and he was practically oozing bloodlust. “They were supposed to die by my hand.”
