The handcuffs were made of a new alloy-several hundred times harder than diamond. They were hailed as the most secure handcuffs in the world, impossible to open without the key.

But Margaret didn’t break a sweat. For her, opening them was as easy as blinking.

Her different-colored eyes locked onto the cuffs. A faint glint flashed in her pupils.

What happened next was mind-blowing.

The unbreakable handcuffs clicked open on their own, right under her gaze.

She removed them, then got up gently.

Andrew, who usually slept lightly, was still sound asleep-he hadn’t slept this well in years.

Margaret got dressed and washed up, then headed downstairs to the living room. She took her time surveying the legendary manor-said to be more mysterious and luxurious than Karemin’s royal palace.

Her eyes immediately fixed on a framed object on the wall: a silver fork, stained with bright red blood. mounted like a work of art. It exuded a dark, cold beauty that was utterly captivating.

Just then, Darryl appeared and greeted her respectfully. “Ms. Tucker.

Margaret acted like the lady of the house, her tone commanding. “Prepare breakfast. And don’t disturb him -let him sleep in.”

She was young, but her aura was overwhelming. Her orders carried the authority of a long-reigning monarch, impossible to refuse.

“Right away, Ms. Tucker.” Darryl nodded and sent someone to prepare the meal.

This girl was like a cloud of mist-cold, dangerous, and full of secrets.

After breakfast, Margaret said, “Arrange a car to take me to school.”

“Yes.”

Darryl hesitated, then added, “Ms. Tucker… when Mr. Mohler wakes up and finds you’re gone, he’ll be furious. What should we do?”

He still shuddered at the memory of Andrew’s violent rage the last time he’d woken up without her.

Normally, he’d stop her from leaving-but he knew he didn’t stand a chance. She was too powerful; if he tried to stop her by force, he’d be taken down in seconds.

Margaret paused, then thought carefully.

She waved at Darryl, her tone as commanding as ever. “Bring me a piece of paper and a pen. I’ll leave him a note. If he gets mad, show him this.”

Class 19…

Class was already in session, but the classroom was chaos-chattering, laughing, and phone notifications filled the air. That all changed the second Margaret walked in.

It was like someone hit the mute button. The room went completely silent.

“Morning, Boss!” Boys and girls alike greeted her respectfully.

The guys who’d seen her badass moves at the abandoned factory yesterday were especially fanatical-their admiration bordered on worship.

“Hmm. Margaret nodded calmly, then sat down in Raymond’s old seat. A trophy for her victory.

Raymond hadn’t shown up to school that morning-but even if he had, Margaret would’ve taken the seat anyway. What she wanted, no one could take from her.

The language teacher had no idea what had happened yesterday.

When she saw the unruly troublemakers greeting a pretty girl like loyal underlings, she thought she was hallucinating.

What on earth is going on?

After a moment, she cleared her throat. “C-Class, please open your textbooks and read the

poems…”

As usual, her students ignored her completely. Some played on their phones; others gamed on their tablets.

The teacher was a sweet, soft-spoken girl. Facing such a bunch of school bullies, she might as well have been

invisible.

“My shadow leans against the wall…

“A quiet friend, not big or small…”

Suddenly, a girl’s voice cut through the murmur. It was clear, articulate, and slightly cold.

Everyone froze. Then, they scrambled to open their textbooks. Soon, the classroom was filled with the sound of students reading aloud.

The teacher stood on the podium, stunned.

She’d taught this class for a year-and this was the first time she’d ever heard them read.

Wait, so these kids can actually study if they want to?

She was so moved she almost cried. She looked at the girl who’d started the reading, her eyes full of gratitude.

This girl is so cool!

The original Margaret had been an honorary professor at several top universities, but she’d never studied Karemin’s poetry.

Now, as she read, she found it surprisingly interesting. Compared to other countries’ poems, Karemin’s verses had a unique charm and rhythm.
