Trick Him Into Divorce, Then Flee With His Unknow Kid novel Chapter 203

Chapter 203: Chapter 203 Honey, Say Something

Ryan stared at the screen, his expression almost completely devoid of emotion.

Rose hadn’t hesitated at all. The moment her phone rang and she saw that it was Ryan calling, she had hung up without a second thought.

The scene left Oliver stunned.

“She hung up?” he exclaimed, jumping to his feet. “What gives her the right to hang up on you?”

This was completely unexpected.

What exactly was Rose trying to do?

Samantha’s expression also darkened.

Rose had chosen the worst possible moment to lose her temper.

Ryan, however, remained the calmest among them. He stopped calling and calmly put his phone away.

“If she won’t answer the phone,” he said evenly, “we’ll go see her in person.”

Samantha understood what he meant.

If Rose refused to answer, they would have to meet her face-to-face.

Which also meant...

She would likely have to endure Rose’s humiliation while Rose took advantage of her vulnerable position.

The feeling was deeply unpleasant.

All these years, Samantha had always looked down on Rose.

Now she had to ask Rose for help—help her retrieve the former employment records and onboarding documents from New Hope.

The situation was clearly not in her favor.

Soon, the office door opened again.

Owen, who had been waiting outside, walked in. He glanced around at everyone before finally looking at Ryan.

“Mr. Knight, I just received news that G.S has signed a major overseas order for fifteen units of equipment.”

“What?!”

Oliver shot to his feet.

His expression changed instantly.

Back then, he had considered G.S’s project technically risky and commercially unpromising, so he had chosen not to invest.

Now, just as Samantha’s project had encountered a major crisis and his investment seemed destined to fail, G.S had secured a massive order.

Not only had they entered the overseas market, but this was merely the beginning.

One could easily imagine how quickly their momentum would grow afterward.

Even Samantha was stunned.

A sharp pain tightened in her chest as her expression darkened.

“With my project running into trouble at this critical moment, G.S is simply taking advantage of the situation to seize the market. If this accident hadn’t happened, they would never have had the chance to stand out against my project.”

She would be lying if she said she wasn’t shocked.

Fifteen units.

That was no small order.

Even the three units she had signed with Angel Hospital had already been considered impressive.

She couldn’t help looking at Ryan.

“Ryan, what should we do?”

Ryan casually spun his phone between his fingers several times before standing up.

“Let’s speak to Rose first.”

*****

Rose had, in fact, seen Ryan’s call.

She hadn’t thought much about it when she hung up.

But afterward, she began to piece things together.

There was probably something related to Samantha’s situation that required her involvement. Otherwise, Ryan rarely contacted her on his own.

Still, she didn’t think much of it and had no intention of calling him back.

That afternoon, Diana introduced her to a potential client.

The client was also in the medical industry and wanted to learn more about G.S’s project.

Rose grabbed her bag and headed out to meet Diana. They had agreed to meet at a restaurant.

As soon as she arrived, Diana walked over.

“This person is from Washington, D.C.,” she said. “Your project needs to expand beyond the local market. With so many top-tier medical institutions in Washington, you can’t afford to ignore that market.”

Rose looked at her in surprise.

“You have connections like that?”

Diana blinked. “Fine, fine. It’s my brother. He made the introduction.”

Rose froze briefly.

Trevor was still overseas, yet he was still helping G.S.

Diana explained, “I didn’t tell my brother that you’re the project lead. I only said you were in charge of part of the project and that having more clients would be beneficial, so he agreed to help.”

Rose suddenly felt that she owed Trevor far too much.

She didn’t know how she would ever repay him.

Diana grinned mischievously. “You know, my brother is a typical businessman—completely rational, objective, and profit-driven. Yet he took the initiative to use his connections to help you. He really cares about you.”

Rose immediately pushed Diana’s face away.

“Enough. I’ll thank him properly when the time comes.”

Diana followed after her, still talking excitedly. “What’s there to thank him for? Just marry him! My brother’s status and influence are no less than Ryan’s. And then you can appear in public every day as Mrs. Robinson and make Ryan call you ‘Mrs. Robinson.’ It would drive him insane.”

Rose instantly covered Diana’s mouth.

Because she had just spotted a tall figure standing beneath the restaurant’s entrance canopy.

The man had his suit jacket draped over one arm.
