“Weren’t you just complaining about being exhausted and blaming him a minute ago? Now that you hear there’s a handsome guy involved, you’re suddenly not tired anymore?” Naomi teased, looking at her cousin with amusement.
“I’m still tired, but of course I’ll push through to go see a good–looking instructor. It’s motivation!
“Being a flight instructor is tough. If he’s strict with us, it’s so we’ll be safer pilots later. It’s for our own good.” Ruby completely reversed her earlier complaining tone.
Naomi watched her flip so quickly and said with a slight smile, “You really change your tune fast, don’t you? Just because he’s handsome, his strictness is suddenly acceptable?
“You really are hopeless when it comes to a nice face.”
“Come on, stop teasing me and just take me there already.” Ruby urged impatiently.
“What’s the rush? I don’t actually know where Lucas is right now.” Naomi suddenly seemed stuck.
“That’s easy. If he works here, he must have an office.
“And you said he’s a Grade–A instructor? His office is probably in a different section than the regular ones, right?” Ruby reasoned out loud.
Listening to her cousin’s quick thinking, Naomi hodded thoughtfully. “When it comes to attractive men, your brain really kicks into gear.
“Alright, let’s wrap up this training run, and then I’ll take you to look for him.” Naomi agreed.
“Perfect! Let’s get this done fast.” Ruby, as if all her fatigue had vanished, focused entirely on finishing the session quickly.
Watching Ruby train with newfound determination just to see a handsome instructor, Naomi couldn’t help but smile.
She had no idea when her cousin had become so easily swayed by a good–looking face.
Meanwhile, Arabella’s car pulled into the flight academy parking lot
After getting out, she walked toward Kyle’s office

She felt a little surprised and checked the time. There was no reason for Kyle not to be at his desk at this hour.
Oh well. Since he’s not here, I’ll just skip today’s session
With that, Arabella turned and headed back out into the hallway.
As she reached the stairwell, she nearly bumped into Lucas, who was coming up the stairs.
“What a coincidence, running into you here.” The moment Lucas saw Arabella, a flicker of genuine delight passed through his eyes.
He hadn’t expected to see her. It felt like a lucky stroke of fate.
Hearing someone address her, Arabella looked toward the voice.
Seeing it was Lucas, she gave a polite, slight nod but didn’t speak, continuing her way downstairs.
When Lucas saw her leave without a word, he immediately turned and followed her down.
“Ms. Hamilton, just finishing up a session?” he asked, catching up to her.
Arabella hadn’t expected him to follow. She glanced at him. “No, I came for a lesson, but Kyle wasn’t in his office, so I’m leaving.”
“Kyle’s not there? That’s odd–he should be around.”
“Hold on. He might have just stepped out. Let me try calling him for you.” As he spoke, Lucas took out his phone and dialed Kyle.
The phone rang several times with no answer, s Lucas hung up.
“No answer. He might be tied up somewhere.”
“But it’s fine. I can cover whatever you need to learn today.” The offer came out almost instinctively.
Arabella was slightly taken aback by his directnes
Seeing she didn’t respond immediately, he quickly realized he might have overstepped and explained, “I mean, if you’re comfortable with it can instruct you. You heard Kyle’s introduction the other day–my qualifications here are top–tier.”
Arabella watched his slightly flustered expression and allowed a faint smile. “I didn’t say

anything. Why do you seem nervous?”
Lucas immediately straightened his posture. “I’m not nervous.
“So… would you like me to take over your lesson today?”

“I suppose that would work,” Arabella said. For her, it didn’t matter who the instructor was, as long as she learned what she needed.
Hearing her agreement, a faint, almost imperceptible smile touched Lucas‘ eyes.
“Then follow me,” he said, leading the way.
For some reason, Arabella felt Lucas was a bit different from the somewhat arrogant instructor she’d met before.
But she didn’t dwell on it and followed him to one of the advanced training rooms.
As they walked down the corridor, Lucas wanted to make conversation but wasn’t sure where to start. Then he remembered driving her to the hospital.
He turned to her slightly. “Ms. Hamilton, you’re a bit late today. Did you come straight from the hospital?”
Arabella glanced at him. She couldn’t very well say she’d come from her private studio, so she simply went along. “Yes.”
“Is your family member recovering well?” Lucas asked conversationally.
“They’re doing fine.”
“Don’t you have other commitments today?” Arabella asked, looking at him.
If he was busy, she didn’t want to keep him.
“Why do you ask?” Lucas looked at her, curious.
“Well, a Grade–A flight instructor like you, the best at this academy… I’d assume your schedule is usually packed with more advanced raining or evaluations.”

I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
