“Alright, let’s go.” With that, the three of them made their way toward the hospital garden.
After numerous phone calls, Carter and Zack had finally located an alternative healer.
“Dylan, we found someone. We’re taking you there now,” Zack said reassuringly to Dylan, who was lying on the bed in pain.
He then turned to Carter and Freya. “The two of us can handle taking Dylan. You both should stay here with Harper–she’s pretty shaken up.” As he spoke, Zack glanced at Harper, who sat motionless, staring into space.
“Alright then, hurry. Call me if anything happens,” Carter said seriously, giving Zack a firm look.
“Got it. We’re heading out now.” Zack and Sarah carefully helped Dylan into a wheelchair.
“Slow down! It hurts so much!” Dylan cried out immediately. After the long wait, his hand had swollen to an alarming size.
“Okay, okay, we’ll go slow,” Zack assured him, and they carefully maneuvered him out of the house. Carter watched them leave from the doorway of Macdonald Villa.
Back in the living room, Carter looked at Harper, who was still sitting in a daze. “Harper, you must be hungry. What would you like to eat?” he asked gently.
Harper didn’t answer, just continued staring blankly at the floor.
Seeing her silence, Freya turned to Carter with a grim expression. “Go tell the housekeeper to prepare some of Harper’s favorite dishes. Maybe the sight of them will get her to eat something.”
“Alright. You stay with her. I’ll go to the kitchen.” With that, Carter turned and left.
Freya gently stroked Harper’s hair, her eyes filled with pain. “Harper, don’t be afraid. You’re home now. There are no bad people here.”
“Mom, those men were so terrifying. I watched them break Dylan’s hand right in front of me. There was so much blood.” Harper couldn’t shake the memory. Even now, sitting safely on the couch at home, her eyes were still wide with fear.

“Harper, don’t think about it anymore. It’s over. Everything’s okay now,” Freya whispered, pulling her daughter into a hug.
“Mom, you know what? Those men were sent by Arabella. Arabella wants to hurt me and Dylan.” Harper looked up at Freya with terrified eyes, seeking protection.
“Just try to relax. I will get revenge for you. I will find Arabella and make her pay ten times over for what she did,” Freya said, her own eyes burning with anger.
“She found out we were the ones who posted those pictures online. This is her payback. You have to find her quickly, or she might send people here, to our house.” As she spoke, tears began streaming down Harper’s face, and her voice grew more urgent.
“Alright, I’ll start looking for Arabella right away. But what did you mean about pictures online?” Freya looked at her, completely confused.
Harper felt a twinge of guilt under her mother’s gaze, but after a moment’s hesitation, she decided to tell the truth. “You remember how Arabella attacked me and Dylan when we went to see Edward that time? Well, later, Dylan and I happened to see Arabella with the CEO of Horizon Corp at the mall.
“So we took a bunch of photos of them and posted them online… to start some rumors.
“Arabella sent those people after us because of that. That’s why Dylan got hurt.” Harper broke into harder sobs as she spoke, her fear deepening.
Hearing the explanation, Freya’s heart sank. She hadn’t realized there was this layer to the
story.
“Don’t be scared. So what if you posted their pictures? It’s not like someone died.
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get justice,” Freya comforted her, downplaying the severity as if it were nothing.
Hearing her mother’s words, Harper calmed down slightly. “Mm.”
After giving instructions to the kitchen staff, Carter returned to the living room. Looking at Harper, who was still clearly shaken, he said, “At least it was Dylan who got hurt this time, not Harper. Otherwise, it would be even worse for our family.”
“Is that all you can say? Even though Harper wasn’t physically hurt, she’s traumatized! As her father, how are you planning to make this right?” Freya snapped, unhappy with Carter’s apparent lack of concern for their daughter’s mental state.
“Arabella has gone too far! She never showed any respect before, and now she actually sends
