Chapter 363 The Clash at Edward’s Company
“Security, please call the police,” Arabella said coldly.
“Arabella, how dare you!” Harper snapped, her face pale with fury.

“That’s right,” Dylan chimed in defensively. “The receptionist isn’t even filing a complaint. Why are you still harassing Harper? What’s your problem?”
Crossing her arms, Arabella glanced at the two of them. “You currently have two choices. One: apologize and pay for the medical costs. Two: go down to the precinct and let the authorities handle it.”
‘Harper, apologize,” Edward said sternly. “You made a mistake. You need to take responsibility for it.”
‘Edward, why do you always take her side? I’m your sister!” Harper’s eyes reddened with rage. “Because of you, my engagement party with Dylan had to be postponed, and now you’re helping Arabella bully me?”
‘Engagement party?” Edward frowned, confused. What did he have to do with a postponed party?
‘Your engagement has nothing to do with him. Don’t try to manipulate him with guilt here,” Arabella said coolly.
‘I’m not! It is because of him,” Harper insisted loudly. “Mom said that with everything going on with his situation, she doesn’t have the energy to plan my engagement party right now.”
Arabella raised an eyebrow and looked at Dylan. “What’s the deal? Has the Johnston family fallen so low that the bride’s family has to plan and host the engagement party now?”
‘Of course not,” Dylan said, puffing out his chest slightly. “You know very well what the Johnston family is capable of.”
Arabella shook her head dismissively. If that was what the Johnstons considered “capable“, it was downright pathetic.
“What’s that look for? Are you jealous that I’m the one marrying Dylan?” Harper sneered, “Don’t even think about it. You’re nowhere near good enough for him.”
Arabella couldn’t help but laugh at Harper’s words. “Don’t you worry–he’s all yours for the keeping. Just make sure you hang onto him tight, so he doesn’t wander off and sour the air for everyone else.”
“Who are you calling garbage?!” Harper fumed, glaring furiously at Arabella.
“Whoever the shoe fits,” Arabella replied with an innocent shrug.
“Arabella, I’ll wipe that smirk off your face!” Harper charged toward Arabella in a blind rage
“Security, restrain her, now!” Edward called out urgently.
As Harper lunged forward, Arabella’s lips curved slightly. She shifted her weight and sidestepped nimbly without even moving her
feet.
“Thump!”
Harper missed completely, her own momentum causing her foot to catch on the leg of a nearby chair. She pitched forward, landing face–first on the hard lobby floor.

“Was I supposed to just stand here and let you attack me?” Arabella raised a cool eyebrow. “Not everyone is as foolish as you are.”
“Arabella, that’s too much!” Dylan scolded before crouching down beside Harper. “Harper, are you okay?”
“Honey, my wrist hurts so much!” Harper’s eyes welled up with crocodile tears, putting on a wounded performance.
“Arabella, whatever issues you have are with me. If you’re angry, take it out on me–don’t take it out on Harper,” Dylan said resentfully, his heart clearly aching for his fiancée.
Arabella shuddered with visceral disgust. “You two should spend less time making scenes and more time finding a good neurologist. Someone should really check if there’s something not quite right up there.”
When it came to Dylan, she could only thank Harper for taking him off the market. Who would want someone that utterly delusional anyway?
“Arabella, I’m not done with you!” Harper struggled to her feet.
“Harper!” Edward’s voice, sharp and authoritative, cut through the lobby, instantly silencing the commotion.
Edward walked over and looked down at his sister. “Because you are my sister, I will let today’s incident end here. I will cover the medical expenses. But you will apologize to Nina.”
“No way! If I apologize to some random receptionist, what will people think of me? My reputation!” Harper refused.
Edward sighed, a wave of disappointment washing over him. “Then it’s a trip to the police station.”
He was truly done covering for her. She needed to face the consequences of her actions.
Hearing that even Edward was willing to involve the police, Harper panicked. “Edward, I’m your sister.”
“This is my company. Anyone who causes trouble here, no matter who they are, will be dealt with according to the rules,” Edward said firmly.
“Edward, have you lost your mind?” Dylan exclaimed angrily. “Harper is your sister! How can you side with an outsider?”
“As far as this company is concerned, you are the outsider. So do not raise your voice here,” Edward warned Dylan with an icy glare before turning his focus back to Harper. “Apologize. Now.”
“I…” Harper had never seen Edward look so stern before, and a tremor of real fear went through her.
Gritting her teeth, Harper reluctantly muttered toward Nina, “Sorry I shouldn’t have pushed you.”
“It’s… it’s okay,” Nina stammered quickly
“Now get out. And don’t come back,” Edward stated, his tone leaving no room for argument.
He then addressed the security guards. “From now on, these two are not permitted on the premises.”
“Yes, sir,” the guards replied in unison.
“Edward, how can you be so cruel to me?” Harper felt utterly humiliated, seething with a mix of anger and bitter resentment.

I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
