“Keep an eye on Freya,” Arabella said, her voice steady. “She’s not gonna stay quiet forever. Something’s brewing.”

“I’ve already got people watching her,” Colton assured her.

“Good.”

There was a beat of silence, then Colton added, “Just… be careful on your end too.”

“I will.”

“Oh, and when you get a chance–start sketching some new pieces. We’re gonna need fresh stuff for the upcoming collection.”

“Got it.”

Colton hesitated, then said, “That pearl hairpin you designed a while back–think we could produce more of it? The production manager thinks it’d kill if we released it again.”

“No.”

Colton’s disappointment was audible. “Come on, really? It’d be perfect as a seasonal classic. We’d sell out again.”

Arabella thought for a moment. “Not that one. But I can design something similar. A variation. We can build a whole collection around it.”

Colton perked up immediately. “Now you’re talking. If you could do a few different versions— limited runs, core pieces–that’d be huge. It’s a shame we’re sticking to the high–end market, ‘cause some affordable versions would fly off the shelves too.”

“I’ll send you the sketches. You handle the rest–marketing, production numbers, all that. But we’re not doing a mass–market line.”

Colton nodded, even though she couldn’t see him. “Got it. We’ve been luxury from day one. No reason to change that now.”

“I’ll send them over when they’re done.”

“Perfect.” Colton sounded satisfied now. “Talk soon.”
