Before Arabella returned, my cousins used to be pretty decent to me, too.
Why is it that none of you will believe a word I say?

“It’s precisely because you’re our cousin–because you’re from the Peterson family–that we’ve cut you some slack all this time,” Ethan said coldly.
“But unfortunately, our patience didn’t make you come to your senses. Instead, you kept pushing it further,” Frank added, his tone heavy with disappointment. “Looking back, we never should have given you chance after chance.”
Ruby clenched her teeth, her eyes red with resentment. “So what you’re saying is, anything Arabella claims, you take as truth–anc anything I say, you dismiss?”
“It’s not just that we trust Arabella more. We also have evidence.” Ethan let out a tired sigh. “You brought this on yourself.”
“What?” Ruby’s mind went completely blank. Evidence of what?
The others in the room looked just as confused. Florence couldn’t hold back. “Ethan, what are you talking about? What evidence?”
Liam spoke up too, his voice tense. “Explain this properly. What’s really going on?”
“Arabella’s medication was perfectly fine. It was Ruby who tampered with it,” Ethan stated plainly.
“Ethan, don’t you dare make things up!” Ruby panicked, her composure crumbling. They actually knew!
Frank’s voice remained low but firm. “Even now, you still refuse to own up to it.”
“If you have proof, then show us.”
“Yeah, clear Aletta’s name once and for all.”
The room grew restless. This kind of family drama was explosive–something they’d never witnessed before.
Arabella seemed caught off guard. “What evidence?”
ugh Ethan had hinted at something earlier, she hadn’t expected them to actually come prepared with proof
Proof that Ruby staged her own poisoning,” Ethan replied.
Frank picked up from there. “We found out Ruby had someone named David interfere with her medication. We also confirmed they were in contact yesterday There are phone records and we managed to get hold of the call recordings
You could say the evidence was rock solid There was no room left for dental
Hearing Frank and Ethan speak with such certainty, Fram’s face lost some of its color “How long have you known about this?
They even had call logs and recordings which meant they’d been keeping an eye on Ruby for a white.
“Uncle, at first we only had our suspicions. “Frank paused briefly, then sighed “But in the end, she really went through with it
They’d had their disagreements before, but none of them expected Ruby to take things this fai

“Frank, Ethan… could there be some kind of misunderstanding here?” Naomi chimed in, pretending to sound concerned. “Why would Ruby do something like that?”
Frank’s gaze turned steady and penetrating. “When Ruby made that call, the signal location came from your apartment.”
Naomi’s face instantly went pale. Flustered, she rushed to explain, “Frank, that can’t be right. I had no idea about any of this. Ruby’s been staying with me the last few days, but I don’t know what she was up to.”
“A moment ago, you said it might be a misunderstanding,” Arabella remarked, raising an eyebrow slightly. “Now suddenly it’s ‘I don’t know anything“?”
“Arabella, please don’t be upset. I just thought–since we’re all family–it wouldn’t be good if there was some miscommunication. I was worried about Uncle and Aunt, too. I didn’t want them getting hurt over nothing,” Naomi deflected, careful to distance herself. She wanted no part in this mess.
“Hmm.” Arabella nodded slowly, then let out a quiet sigh. “You’re worried about Uncle and Aunt being hurt… but aren’t you worried that if I can’t clear my name, Mom and Dad would be the ones hurting?”
“Well, I…” Naomi’s eyes welled up. She looked toward Florence with a pleading expression. “Mom, I really didn’t mean it that way. I ust thought since we’re family, I…”
The more she tried to explain, the messier it got. Inside, Naomi was scrambling.
She wanted to help Ruby out, but she didn’t want to get dragged into something unclear just for taking her side.
‘Let’s not get worked up just yet,” Florence said calmly, though her tone carried weight. “If you really weren’t involved, then let’s hear what Frank and Ethan have to say. They’re the ones with the evidence.”
Even though Florence didn’t outright blame her, Naomi could tell–there was a hint of disappointment there.
‘Leave Naomi out of this,” Ruby spoke up in her defense. “She really doesn’t know anything about what happened.”
‘So you’re admitting you did it?” Ethan pressed.
Ruby shrugged, putting on an air of indifference. “You already know everything, don’t you?”
‘Acting out on a normal day is one thing, but how could you be so reckless now?” Sophia said, her voice thick with emotion. “You need to apologize to Arabella. Right now.”
“Mom, I’ve already done what I did. Do you really think an apology is going to fix anything?” Ruby replied, a touch of sarcasm in het
tone.
Sophia fell silent, at a loss for words.
“When you’ve done something wrong, you apologize. That’s how it works,” Liam said sternly. “And as for consequences one apology won’t be enough to make this go away”

The readers' comments on the novel: True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella)
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
