Matthew frowned. "You've been acting a bit off lately. Got something on your mind?"
If there was something to say, why not just say it? All that muttering under his breath was getting annoying.
"No, nothing like that," Andy replied quickly. "Just meant if you need anything, I'm here to help."
He certainly wasn't about to admit he'd been grumbling to himself about his boss' love life. That would be asking for trouble.
Matthew headed back into his office.
A short while later, Arabella showed up.
She'd already heard about what went down in the meeting room and figured Colton didn't need her anymore, so she came over earlier than planned.
"Mr. Stewart, about that acquisition plan you mentioned yesterday—were you serious?" It sounded pretty well thought out, honestly.
"Take a look at this." Matthew handed her a folder.
She opened it and skimmed through the contents. Her eyes widened slightly.
"Mr. Stewart, Horizon Corp could easily handle this on their own." There was really no need to bring her into it.
"When it comes to the medical side of things, I think it's better to operate under a dedicated healthcare company. I'll stay on as an investor," Matthew explained. He paused, then added, "I have a feeling Ethan would be interested, too."
Originally, it was Arabella's company with him and Ethan as investors. Now he was thinking all three of them should team up properly.
Seeing how serious Matthew was, Arabella closed the folder and tucked it under her arm. "Alright then. I'll go talk it over with Ethan."
She gave the folder a little wave. "Anyway... thanks, Mr. Stewart."
The truth was, Matthew could have easily done this alone, but he was willing to include her and Ethan. She appreciated that.
"It'll work out," Matthew said, sounding completely unconcerned.
After a moment, Arabella offered, "If it does, I owe you a meal."
"Make it a good one," Matthew replied simply.
Arabella laughed. "You sound just like—well, never mind. Whatever you want."
Matthew raised an eyebrow. He seemed to catch her meaning but didn't call her out on it. He just nodded. "I'll hold you to it."
"How's your arm?" Arabella changed the subject.
She'd almost said Colton just now. Better to drop that line of conversation.
"Not bad." Matthew lifted his arm slightly to show her.
But Arabella's expression tightened immediately. "You didn't change the dressing today, did you?"
It occurred to Matthew then that he'd forgotten to do it that morning.
"It's fine. It's healing well," he said.
Arabella didn't look pleased. "That's a knife wound, Matthew. You can't just ignore it."
She turned toward Andy. "Do you have a first-aid kit here?"

The readers' comments on the novel: True Heiress Returns to Her Unemployed Rich Family (Arabella)
This has been going for too long in circles. Reached ch 654 and it's still the same twists no changes at all. Other novels reaches it's climax not beyond ch 300 and it's more captivating. Don't let us readers abandon this....
Update please...
I started the novel with great interest. In the beginning the storyline was captivating. Then I feel that the more the story advances, the twists were no longer great. Moreover I don't like Arabella s personality, cold, distant......
