Chapter 365 A Surprise for Winona
Parting ways didn’t mean the girls’ bond was fading. Their trio chak
Julian, soon to be a father, immediately became the center of attention, flauntin
“Think it’s a boy, Julian?” Elijah teased, his tone thick with sarcasm.
“Absolutely not! Can you all finally trust a doctor for once? This is my call,” Julian shot back coffidently
Connor, gearing up for his own wedding, snorted derisively. “You’re nof some scanning machine. Since when do your eyes double as medical devices?”
“Exactly,” Elijah added with a smirk.
“Sebastian, why aren’t you drinking?” Elijah asked.
Sebastian shook his head. “No alcohol while we’re trying for a baby. You wouldn’t understand-you’re not married yet.”
Elijah felt the sting but didn’t know how to reply. Burn. Utterly brutal.
Connor, curious, pressed on. “Wait, Elijah-you and your girlfriend got back together, right? When’s the wedding?”
Elijah’s grin widened, smug as ever. “Yep. We patched things up. Next month. As soon as my custom ring arrives, I’ll pop the question.”
“Sebastian, I’ll need Serena’s help with this,” Elijah said casually.
Sebastian nodded without a fuss. “Sure. Just don’t make it complicated. Can’t have my wife exhausted in the process.”
Elijah froze, words failing him entirely.
A year apart and he’s still every bit as smug and sharp-tongued as before.
“Don’t worry, I’ll probably just have Serena ‘accidentally’ hand it over for me,” Elijah replied.
“I want it to be a surprise for Winona.”
Elijah had no idea that Winona was planning to leave.
Sebastian glanced at his watch and said, “It’s getting late. I’m heading out.”
Julian stood as well and added, “Same here. Time to pick up my wife and take her home.”

It seemed everyone had left him behind on purpose.
Serena waved goodbye to her friends and noticed a new friend request other phone
“Who added me?” she murmured.
Sebastian glanced over. “Elijah.”
Serena frowned. “Why?”
“He’s probably planning to propose to your best friend,” Sebastian revealed without hesitation.
Serena’s eyes narrowed. “Propose… to Winona?”
But Winona had plans to go abroad, and no one had mentioned that they’d reconciled, yet Elijah was already planning a proposal.
Sebastian shrugged. “What can I say? He’s the last single guy. If he waits too long, by the time the rest of us have kids, he won’t even have anything to talk about.”
Serena raised an eyebrow. “So they actually got back together?”
Sebastian tilted his head casually. “I thought so. Didn’t they?”
If they hadn’t, that would have been a shock.
Sebastian almost looked forward to watching Elijah’s proposal unfold.

After returning, Serena landed a case about an equity repurchase dispute at a venture center.
For a week, she sparred with the opposing counsel and delivered results her client adored-all without setting foot in a courtroom.
Adam, convinced her year of study had paid off, threw an extravagant victory celebration in her honor.
Lily leaned over and whispered, “Serena, why does it seem like Mr. Rowe treats you like royalty? Did you… get something on him?”
Serena shook her head helplessly. “Nope. Maybe he’s just changed.”
Is it possible for someone like Mr. Rowe to change? Lily still looked unconvinced.

bereña had him way to clarify, wondering if she should text Adam to tone down his flattery.
The real reason was chivious to her they were both silently aware of the Oqspoken dynamic.
Eugene was pleased too–it meant more resources for Sereria-but to outsiders, it looked a little suspicious.
Someone with little patience for subtlety couldn’t help themselves. “Ms. Dempsey, have you noticed how every male attorney treats Ms. Steele like gold? She must really be something special”
