Chapter 370 Pregnancy Worries
Julian rubbed her hair. “Alright, don’t think so much. Your due date is almost here. Pregnant women shouldn’t let their thoughts
run wild.”
Lucinda gave a soft snort. As soon as she got home, she sent Serena a message to tell her what happened.
Serena was looking up information online. After hearing it, she also felt the situation was strangely quiet.
Normally, even if she didn’t eat there, Amber would still make a few sarcastic comments.
“Yeah, Lucinda. I got it. I’ll look into it. Thanks for speaking up for me today.
“Hey, don’t worry about it. That’s what friends do. Ugh, my aunt really gets on my nerves. I swear she might be going through menopause.”
Serena laughed quietly. “Maybe. Alright, try not to argue with her so much in the future. It doesn’t look good in front of Grandpa.”
“I won’t! If she says something wrong, I’m going to call her out. It’s fine, Rena. Some things you can’t say, so I’ll say them for you. But my uncle wasn’t there today either.”
After the call ended, Serena thought about Amber again.
Amber had only been back in the country for a short time. She had only met Kyana once.
Could that meeting alone really have such a big impact?
Did she encourage Kyana to jump off the building, or did she push things along when it happened?
That whole night, Serena kept searching for information about the Quinn family.
It was already 10 p.m.
She was still curled up in the study. Sebastian was about to come get her when Serena unexpectedly received a call from Evelyn.
“Are you asleep? Is it too late? I hope I’m not bothering you.” Evelyn’s voice sounded cheerful.
Serena smiled. “I’m not asleep, Evelyn. Did you call because something important happened?”

“Yes. I heard Eugene mention your situation today. I heard you want to file a lawsuit for defamation and damage to your reputation to clear your name. I happen to have some free time, so I can represent you in court. Do you mind?”
Serena felt surprised. “Of course I don’t mind. Evelyn, I’m really grateful that you’re willing to help me.”
She could defend herself. However, she wanted another person to help review everything and keep the details clear.
She was worried she might have a moment where her thinking went blank.
“Alright, that’s it for now. We’ll talk more tomorrow when you come to the law firm.”
Sebastian leaned against the doorway and watched her finish the call. “Can we go to sleep now, honey
Serena rolled her eyes at tum. “Let’s be clear first. Tonight we’re only sleeping. You’re not allowed to try anything.”

Sebastian raised an eyebrow. He leaned down and kissed her lips. “I’m your husband, not an animal.”
Serena froze. Animal? That doesn’t seem right. The Quinn family already has a real animal.
She jumped onto Sebastian.
“Honey, please help me look into everything Kenneth has been up to since Kyana came back. Can you?”
Kenneth? Wasn’t he the animal who tried to drug Serena last time but failed?

When Serena arrived at the company, the investigation results Sebastian ordered had already been sent to her email right on time.
She took her laptop and went to Evelyn’s office.
Evelyn smiled. “You look happy. I guess you’ve already sorted things out?”
Serena shook her head. “I’ve only solved half the puzzle. But I do have a general direction about why Kyana jumped.
“Ms. Dempsey, look at this. After Kyana came back to the capital, she stayed at her cousin Kenneth’s villa the whole time.
“They went to the Quinn family’s eldest son Marcus’ house for dinner once. The security footage showed that when Kyana left the house that day, her expression started to look a little blank.
“The day after Kyana jumped, Kenneth went overseas. That villa was also sold quickly at a very low price. He has a terrible record. He even tried to assault me before. So…”
Serena tapped the desk.
Evelyn understood. “So, you think the person who caused Kyana to jump was the cousin you mentioned, Kenneth?”
“That’s possible.” She frowned. “But the suicide note she left pointed very clearly at you. Everything in it blamed you. That’s why people online started attacking you.”
