Chapter 469 A Banquet Full of Rumors
Elijah had a faint smile on his face. “Yeah.”
“Why? Trying to flatter me? You picked the wrong way.”

Elijah shook his head. “My grandpa likes collecting antiques too. I heard some foreign guests at this event looked down on our local collections, so my grandpa asked me to pick a couple of pieces to show them what we’ve got.”
He paused, then continued, “But he didn’t want them actually getting bought by outsiders. So I just gave them away to someone who truly appreciates them.”
At the end of the day, it still sounded like flattery, but Henry felt very pleased hearing it.
“Heh, not bad, kid. But you hurt my granddaughter before, so I can’t help you.”
Elijah kept that small smile. “That’s fine. I’m glad you like the pieces.”
Henry said nothing else and let him leave.
Rhad had no idea that the two rare antiques his grandson borrowed had just been casually given away like that.
Back at the Campbell residence, Henry asked, “Winona, how have things been going with Sawyer lately?”
“It’s been okay, Grandpa.”
Henry didn’t say much. He could already tell his granddaughter was brushing it off.
That night, Winona changed into a pink dress. It was a soft blush, ribbed gown paired with sapphire jewelry. She looked like a mermaid from a pink ocean.
She walked in beside her brother, and they quickly caught everyone’s attention.
Winona had a tall figure that made any outfit look good. She stayed by her brother’s side while he introduced her to different people.
Sure enough, someone soon asked where she got her dress.
“Mrs. Johnson, this is my own brand, AZAEI Co. If you like it, feel free to visit the store sometime.”

She felt like coming tonight was the right choice. She already had at least ten wealthy ladies‘ numbers saved in her phone.
These weren’t just contacts. They were future high–end clients.
Everything had been calm by the end of the banquet. Then noise suddenly came from a lounge on the second floor.
“What’s going on, Austin?”
Austin shook his head. “Ignore it.”
Winona had no interest in checking it out anyway. She came here to find clients.

“Oh my god, I heard someone’s fighting in there. The heir of the Grant family beat someone from the Hopkinson family for a waitress.”
Winona froze.
The heir of the Grant family… Could it be Sawyer?
“I thought he was dating the Campbell family’s little princess. So he’s dumping the rich girl for a Cinderella now?”
What a messy drama.
Winor a pressed her lips together. When she noticed her brother looking at her with confusion, she had no choice but to explain.
“I have nothing to do with Sawyer. That blind date before was fake. I just did it to fool you guys.”
Austin sighed. “Let’s go. There’s no point staying any longer.”
Winona left with him and went home.
Sawyer sent a message to his friend with tears in his eyes, “I’ve done all I can to help you!”
Elijah looked at the message and curled his lips slightly.
“Thanks, man. When I get married, I’ll put you at the main table.”
Sawyer stared at the screen, speechless.
Like I even care.
After Winona got home, she saw her grandpa’s face dark with anger.
“Hmph, I misjudged Simon. What kind of nonsense is his grandson? He’s way too flirtatious! Winona, don’t worry. I would never let you marry someone like that! Block his contact right now! Don’t talk to him again.”
Winona stayed silent.
“Grandpa, calm down. He was just a blind date. Nothing happened between us. We only had two meals together. I don’t like him. I didn’t lose anything. You don’t have to scold him like that.”
Winona felt a little guilty toward Sawyer. After all, she was the one who backed out first. Now he was getting scolded by his own family and hers, too. So she spoke up for him a little.
