She'd been so busy lately that she'd almost forgotten about Morgan. She picked up her phone and saw two messages from him. The second was a picture, so when she opened WhatsApp, all she saw was the square icon labeled "Image," obscuring the first message.
Curious to see what he'd said, she tapped on the conversation. The message read: "Saw your fiancé today during a business meeting."
"Fiancé" had to mean Keith.
But why would Morgan see Keith during a business meeting? Was the meeting at some kind of event?
Amara tapped on the image Morgan had sent, and her eyes froze.
The picture showed a conference room. Keith, dressed in a suit, was sitting with Nathan at one end of the table. From the angle, Morgan must have been sitting at the other end.
So, WestWinter Group and the Bishop Group were collaborating?
It wasn't strange for the two corporations to work together, but it was strange that Keith was in a business meeting with Nathan. Keith never got involved in family affairs.
Just then, a third message came from Morgan: "Isn't your fiancé an actor? I mean, he's still part of our circle, but I remember he never touched the family business. He was always focused on his acting. What's up with that?"
*That's right,* Amara thought, *Keith never gets involved in the family business.* But of course, she couldn't say that to Morgan. She replied, "He's started helping his father out recently."
Edith quickly sent an address, which Amara saved.
Edith had already given Keith the family papers, which meant she had approved their marriage. To the outside world, Edith was now her future mother-in-law. But why would a future mother-in-law arrange a private meeting with her daughter-in-law like this? What did Edith want to talk to her about?
Amara thought of the photo from Morgan again. The whole situation was becoming more and more confusing.
To keep herself from overthinking, she did some prenatal yoga using an app on her phone. After an hour, she was covered in sweat. She took a quick shower, and feeling tired, she took advantage of the fatigue and went straight to bed.
