Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 727

He arrived at Emma’s place soon after. As soon as Finnian walked in, he spotted Emma on the sofa—and to his surprise, Liliana was there too.

Although Emma and Liliana had once been close, after Liliana’s fake pregnancy was exposed, Finnian couldn’t help wondering: could Emma really still accept her?

He quickly averted his eyes from Liliana, sat down on the sofa, and asked, “What did you want to talk to me about?”

Emma had just gotten back from the Everly Estate, sipping water from a glass. At his question, she shot Liliana a look. Liliana caught the hint, quietly poured Finnian a glass of water, and set it by his hand. “Finn, you and Mrs. Everly should have a good talk,” she said kindly, before slipping into the small bedroom and gently closing the door behind her.

The living room fell silent. Emma placed her glass on the table and said,

“I’ve figured everything out. Amara is indeed carrying your child—but so what? I absolutely will not allow her to join the Everly family. I won’t acknowledge the child she’s carrying, either. You need to find a way to get her to end the pregnancy, and then proceed with marrying Liliana.”

There was no room for argument in Emma’s voice. She fixed Finnian with a cold, unwavering stare.

Finnian stood up. “It’s not going to happen. The child Amara is carrying will be born and grow up healthy. We may even have more children in the future. Amara will be my wife. There is no possibility between Liliana and me anymore. You don’t need to concern yourself with my marriage ever again.”

His tone was calm but utterly resolute.

He had already guessed what Emma would say; the only surprise was that she still wanted him to marry Liliana. But it made no difference—he no longer cared what Emma thought.
