Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 729

For the past two days, Amara had been staying at Elysia’s place.

At Elysia’s, they spent their days working separately before coming together for meals. At night, they shared a room, often talking late into the night before finally falling asleep.

That morning, Amara received a call from Mr. Kevin Everly. He asked her to come to the house, saying he wanted to have a word with her.

Now that news about her being pregnant with Finnian’s child had gotten out—though some outsiders may not have heard, Mr. Kevin Everly definitely knew about it. So, when she answered his call, Amara felt a bit uneasy.

Still, she and Mr. Kevin Everly were so close that she couldn’t just avoid him forever. After thinking it over, she agreed.

Amara drove over to the Everly Estate. When she entered the house, Mr. Kevin Everly took her hand and first asked how she had been these past few days. Then his gaze drifted to her stomach, and he couldn’t hide the joy in his eyes.

Amara instantly felt a little embarrassed. “Grandpa, you know everything, don’t you?”

“I do, I do,” Mr. Everly replied. “I never would have thought something like that had happened between you and Finn. When I asked you before if anyone was giving you trouble, why didn’t you tell me? You should have told me so I could help stand up for you.”

Amara couldn’t help but smile.

“Grandpa, I didn’t know how to talk to you about something like that. Besides, I never planned on letting this child be recognized by Finnian.”

“The things that happened between us are something I’ll never forget. I don’t want to be with Finnian anymore—I just want to bring up this child on my own and make a good life for us.”

“But Celeste has always had more of a free spirit—she didn’t want to work in the company, so she only inherited two percent.”

“As for me, I still hold ten percent of the shares.”

“I told you before that I wanted to officially welcome you into the family—it wasn’t just empty words. I intended to give you five percent of Everly Group’s shares, the same as Hogan and Celeste, and I’ve already had the share transfer documents drawn up.”

“But now, knowing you’re carrying an Everly family child, even if you don’t want to get back together with Finn, that’s the truth and there’s no changing it. The family owes you for that. So, I’ve decided to transfer my entire ten percent of the shares to you. Think of it as half for you, and half for my grandchild.”

As he spoke, Mr. Everly opened the folder in front of him.
