Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 734

Finnian watched her silently for a moment. “I’m leaving now, Amara. Think carefully about what I said. I always keep my promises.”

With that, Finnian turned and left.

The villa grew quiet. Amara stood by the window, looking down as Finnian’s figure gradually disappeared from view. Her emotions were a tangled mess.

Did she still have feelings for Finnian? There was no question—she did.

But after all they’d been through, there was a deep fear in her heart at the thought of being with him again. It was safer to let go.

She recalled how well Finnian had treated Liliana in the past. Was it really possible that all that kindness was just because they had slept together and she got pregnant?

Back then, after the child was “lost,” Finnian went back to Liliana just because she’d slashed her wrists.

If he were an ordinary man, that kind of reaction might make sense. But Finnian was not a man known for his compassion—his heart was cold.

That’s why Amara believed Finnian truly had feelings for Liliana, whether he recognized it or not. There was no way she would walk back into that fire. This time, she had to hold her ground.

After leaving the villa, Finnian was heading home when he received a call from one of his bodyguards.

“Mr. Everly, Emma is out of control. She’s smashing things in her apartment, and she hit Mack. Do you want to come over?”

Mack was another bodyguard. Finnian’s face darkened. “I’ll be there soon.”

He hung up and headed straight to Emma’s apartment.

Lanny, the guard who called, was Mack’s twin brother. As soon as Finnian arrived, Lanny hurried up to meet him.
