Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 763

Even though Elysia had no intention of dating Lucian, she genuinely wanted to be friends with him.

After all, they hadn’t been in touch for over a month. Maybe Lucian didn’t have feelings for her anymore, and perhaps inviting her to dinner was just his way of catching up with an old friend. So that evening, Elysia went to meet him.

Meanwhile, while Amara was reading in her hospital room that night, Mr. Kevin Everly came to visit her, accompanied by Hogan and Celeste.

Hogan was carrying a bouquet of flowers, and Celeste had a fruit basket in her hand.

Hogan set the flowers down on the bedside table. “Amara, I hope you have a speedy recovery. It’s a little dull in here, so hopefully the flowers will help brighten up the room.”

Celeste awkwardly placed the fruit basket next to the flowers and muttered, “Get well soon, okay? Grandpa’s been pretty worried about you lying in the hospital.”

Amara glanced at the fruit basket, feeling even more convinced that Celeste hadn’t been the one behind what happened this morning.

If Celeste really had harmed her earlier, she definitely wouldn’t have brought food so soon afterward. Celeste might be devious, but she wasn’t foolish.

So who was trying to hurt her?

Amara didn’t dwell on it for long. She chatted idly with Mr. Kevin Everly, repeatedly assuring him that her stomach didn’t hurt at all and that she’d be able to leave the hospital the next day. Only then did Mr. Kevin Everly seem to relax.

Just then, Finnian arrived, carrying the dinner he’d bought for Amara in one hand and a folder in the other.

After setting the dinner on the small table by Amara’s bed, he took out the chopsticks and spoon, arranged everything neatly, and personally opened the meal, placing the chopsticks in Amara’s hand so she could eat.

Amara thought he was being much too attentive. Finnian really didn’t need to go this far, especially with Mr. Kevin Everly and the others smiling and watching nearby.
