Under the Veil I Rule (Amara) novel Chapter 782

Dorian's eyes were red and brimming with tears, his voice trembling. “Elysia, I swear, I never thought you were a fool. And I really did not sleep with Jessica. If I’m lying, may something awful happen to me.”

Elysia let out a laugh, as if she found Dorian’s words ridiculous and unbelievable.

A shudder ran through Dorian, and a wave of fear welled up inside him.

Elysia was so convinced that he had slept with Jessica that she’d gone so far as to end their pregnancy over it—the child he had longed for was gone. Did this really mean that he and Elysia were over for good?

He couldn’t accept it. He stepped forward. “Why are you doing this?”

Amara noticed the dangerous look in Dorian’s eyes. Worried that he might hurt Elysia in his emotional state, she immediately stepped in front of Elysia to shield her. “Dorian, what do you think you’re doing?”

Dorian pushed her aside. “Don’t get in my way!”

He didn’t push Amara very hard, but she’d moved quickly and the floor was slippery—she lost her balance and fell to the ground.

“Ama, are you okay?” Elysia cried out in alarm, trying to get out of bed to help Amara.

But her body was still weak after the procedure—she hadn’t recovered yet. The moment she moved, a wave of pain swept through her.

Dorian, who had been about to help Amara, panicked when he saw Elysia wince and clutch her stomach, and rushed over to support Elysia instead. “...Are you all right?”

Just then, the door to the hospital room swung open again. Keith walked in.

Keith had come to check on Elysia; he’d heard the news about her losing the baby from hospital staff. But the first thing he saw when he walked in was Amara on the floor.

Startled, he hurried over and helped Amara to her feet. “What happened?”
