A few crew members were whispering nearby. "I heard the CEO of the Everly Group just dropped a massive investment into our show today. I thought it was bullshit—they're a real estate empire, why would they care about Hollywood? But Mr. Everly is actually here, so it must be true!"
Another chimed in. "You have no idea. The Everly Group does real estate, sure, but the boss himself is a billionaire playboy. His personal portfolio is insane."
"He set up a private equity firm years ago, completely detached from the main corporate umbrella. It's his own cash. He's been heavily backing films and shows forever. He was the primary backer for 'Whispers of Winter'."
"Oh, damn, I didn't know that. So his investment in us is legit? Thank God, our prop and set budgets are about to get a massive upgrade..."
Listening to their gossip, Amara was stunned.
Finnian invested in 'Letters from Yesterday'?
He must have finalized the deal directly with Mr. Frost. Since she formally had no ties to Finnian anymore, the director wouldn't have felt the need to update her on the financial shifts. No wonder she was completely in the dark.
The realization left a bitter taste in her mouth.
With his money tied up in the production, he now had total executive clearance. He could casually show up to production meetings whenever he wanted, which meant she'd be constantly bumping into him.
On the other hand, the man wiped his shoes with hundred-dollar bills. If he was throwing money at the project, it was undoubtedly a colossal, multi-million dollar check.
An endless budget meant they could shoot a flawless, high-quality production.
As the head writer, nobody wanted this series to succeed more than she did. From a strictly professional standpoint, his investment was a godsend.
Amara let out a long sigh, pushing the headache aside. The ink on the contract was already dry; stressing about it was pointless. She just needed to keep her head down and focus entirely on the script.
Grabbing the assistant director by the arm, the producer tactfully vanished.
Finally free from the corporate groveling, Finnian marched straight toward Amara.
But before he could even close the distance, Antonia skipped out of nowhere, blocking his path.
She was fully dressed in her costume, a frilly pink boutique dress.
Looking up at him with glittering eyes, she beamed. "Finnian, are you here to see me? I heard you dropped a massive investment into the show! Did you do it just for me?"
Growing up as the golden child of the Everly family, Antonia had always been served the world on a silver platter. Her siblings and cousins paled in comparison to the blatant favoritism she received. It had forged her into a wildly arrogant brat who genuinely believed the entire universe revolved around her and that everyone worshipped the ground she walked on.
