Antonia froze for a moment.
If Amara didn't want to marry Finnian, then who was it?
Right, it was Keith!
The thought made Antonia bristle with anger again.
She had harbored a crush on Keith for two years. Whenever she ran into him at parties and tried to strike up a conversation, he would completely ice her out, which had always left her feeling deeply resentful.
Now that she finally had the rare chance to act alongside him on set, Keith was blatantly showing interest in Amara.
What was wrong with Keith? Amara was pregnant, so why was he still so captivated by her?
Antonia bit her lip, glaring hotly at Amara. But Amara ignored her entirely, keeping her head down to study her script notes.
Seizing the moment, Antonia bent down slightly and swiftly slapped something onto Amara's back.
The object was tiny and black, blending perfectly with Amara's dark clothes. It was completely inconspicuous, and Amara didn't notice a thing.
Straightening up, Antonia shot Amara one last look. Seeing no reaction, she turned on her heel and walked away.
Sensing Antonia's departure, Amara glanced up briefly before returning to her notes.
Noon arrived quickly. After grabbing a quick lunch with Keith, Amara headed back to the lounge to rest for a bit.
"Her family was absolutely furious when they heard. They beat up the driver she hooked up with and threw him out, and now they're rallying all the prominent families in Wye to blacklist the guy so he can't make a living here anymore."
"As for Amelia, they refuse to take back such a disgraceful daughter. Even though she's divorced, they won't let her come home, so she's basically homeless now."
Amara read the text over, sent Nora a digital gift card as thanks, and then her thoughts suddenly shifted back to the Sullivan family.
Elowen was still grounded by their father. How long was he planning to keep her locked up?
She pondered it for a moment before pushing the thought aside. She read her book for a while longer, went out to observe a scene being filmed later in the afternoon, and then decided to head home.
It was just past four, right before the evening rush hour. The traffic wouldn't be too bad. Amara planned to drive home, order some takeout, and spend the evening reading or watching a movie.
